When in the course of their duties staff members become aware of student violation of this policy, they should correct the student and address the matter in accordance with this procedure and the Board of Education’s general disciplinary policies and procedures. Staff Supervision. The Provider will ensure staff have supervision on a monthly basis. This will be held between the member of staff and their supervising manager. Details of the supervision will be recorded by the Provider and held on the member of staff’s file. Supervision sessions will be based on management supervision which will assess performance and discuss any non-case management related issues, as well as training needs and staff personal needs; and reflective practice case management supervision where individual cases will be discussed alongside a chance to critically assess practice and safeguarding issues and reflect on this in a safe environment. The Provider’s management staff should be trained and qualified to deliver supervision, including reflective practice supervision. All of the Provider’s staff will have an annual appraisal focussing on their performance throughout the year, development needs identified and continual professional development opportunities. Any areas that require improvement will be translated into an action plan. Team meetings The Provider will ensure team meetings are held every 2 months. These meetings should cover: updates to policy, issues identified in the previous period and reflect on these, focus sessions on particular areas, looking at how the service could be improved and any other items that the Provider thinks relevant.
