School Improvement. The parties do hereby mutually agree that the school improvement process currently in effect will continue. Any plan developed by the committees shall not be in conflict with the master agreement or board policy.

School Improvement. 1. The Board and the Association agree that employee participation in decision making is effective in providing positive results for education. 2. The provisions contained in this section shall apply to all school improvement plans, programs or processes set forth by school improvement committees established in the Xxxxxxx-Xxxxxx School District as a result of Section 1277 of the Revised School Code. 3. It is understood that participation on school improvement committees is voluntary. Further, employees who participate, or are non-participants, in such activities shall not be negatively evaluated for any conduct relative to such committees. 4. In the event that any provision(s) of a school improvement plan, program or process or application thereof violates, contradicts, or is inconsistent with this Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Collective Bargaining Agreement shall prevail.
School Improvement. The Board, Administration, Teachers and Association recognize the necessity of maintaining ongoing district-wide improvement plans and importance of continued recognition of quality educational services as a fundamental priority and shared goal of the parties. The Board recognizes that the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement shall not be altered or modified through the school improvement process, without written mutual agreement and ratification by the parties. To the extent any proposed element of the District’s school improvement plan conflicts with the terms of the master agreement, the identified provisions will be subject to renegotiations at the request of the Board. Any amendments to the agreement will be subject to ratification by the parties. The involvement of teachers in school improvement planning shall be voluntary and shall not require additional compensation.

Site-based decision-making shall be a recognized process for change, school improvement and improvement in the quality of work life. B. Committees will assume responsibility for the dissemination of information regarding their activities to the affected parties and for the purpose of seeking representative input.

School Improvement. A. Participation in the planning process by the employee is mandatory when it takes place during school hours. 2. The Composition of school improvement committee is established under section 1277 of the Revised School Code, 1976 PA 451, MCL 380.1277. 3. The Master Agreement may not be modified in whole, or in part, except by mutual, written agreement by the Association and the Board or to become compliant with State or Federal Law.
School Improvement. 1. In the event that any plan or program of the School Improvement Plan were to be in conflict with terms of this Agreement the School Improvement Plan shall be altered so that it is no longer in conflict. 2. The Board will budget specific funds for the operation of each School Improvement Team. 3. Building administrators will work to ensure that the quality and structure of meetings will be optimized, and the number of meetings minimized Work which has been completed by subcommittees will be respected by the entire staff and the administration. (Administrators will appoint tasks so that they are not performed repetitively; staff will not attempt to rework the tasks completed by subcommittees.) All decisions normally involving staff input relating to the functioning of each building will be made at full building meetings. Any school improvement work or curriculum work which the administration approves, may be completed during the summer at $100 per day stipend by staff who volunteer to do so. If an activity includes an overnight stay at a site that is more than 80-mile radius from the district, the rate shall be an additional $100 per night. Stipends will not be offered during the school work week.

School Improvement is a process for involving employees in decision-making through joint planning and problem solving. B. 1. In implementing and operating the School Improvement Plan, no provision, formal understandings, condition or practice established between the parties or by the Collective Bargaining Agreement shall be altered, modified or superseded.
