Sessions. Negotiation sessions will be held on a regular basis at times and places mutually agreed to. Negotiations with the Board will be held in open session at designated board meetings.
Sessions. Each individual session lasts 45 minutes and family sessions are 60-80 minutes. If you are late for a session, that time is lost from your session. If I am late for a session, we will extend the session if you are willing to do so or we will make other arrangements by mutual consent. MISSED APPOINTMENTS Since a time slot is reserved for you that cannot be offered to anyone else, you will be charged for all missed appointments not cancelled 24 hours in advance. If you do not reschedule an appointment within one month of our last session, I will assume that you have decided to discontinue treatment with me. These fees are also billed for services such as telephone calls not related to scheduling, special reports, and collateral consultation. I do not participate in health insurance programs however I will provide you with an invoice with all the information needed should you wish to file a claim directly with the insurance company. It is your responsibility to contact your insurance company to determine if an authorization for treatment is required and to communicate that requirement to me. Please note, I am not a Medicare provider and therefore my services are not covered by Medicare. Should you want services from me and you are a Medicare recipient, this will serve as a separate private contract so that you may pay me out of pocket. Under this circumstance, you understand that you (or your beneficiaries or legal representatives) are waiving the right to submit claims or be reimbursed by Medicare for any services I provide that would otherwise be covered by Medicare if there was no private contract and a proper claim was submitted. Sessions. Negotiations will be conducted at times and places mutually agreeable to the negotiators named by each party. At the first meeting the negotiations teams will agree on a process for the sessions. Items to agree on may include frequency of meetings, minutes, process, agendas, tentative completion date, and other items. Negotiating sessions shall be open and publicized in order to meet the Idaho Open Meeting Law. Both parties will maintain the right to caucus in private when deemed appropriate. Minutes shall be recorded by the Board. Minutes of the previous session will be read, amended as necessary, and approved at the beginning of each session. Approval will be indicated by the signatures of the spokesperson for the Association and School Board. Copies will be provided to the Association.
Sessions. Negotiating sessions shall be on an annual schedule, with formal negotiations to begin by March 1, or as mutually agreed upon.
Sessions. Your first session with your clinician will involve an evaluation of what problems appear most important to work on and what treatment needs you have. By the end of this first evaluation time, your clinician will give your their thoughts about your work together and what treatment they feel will be most helpful. This first session will evaluate your needs and determine if your clinician and the BHCTC is right for your treatment. This initial session will also help you to determine if you feel comfortable receiving treatment at the BHCTC. If you and your clinician choose to begin treatment together, you will be scheduled for treatment sessions at a length and frequency determined by you and you clinician. The goal of treatment is to get you feeling and functioning better as efficiently as possible and we therefore limit the total number of sessions to approximately 12 or three-months of weekly therapy sessions. (For a better understanding of BHCTC’s approach please read the “What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy” handout in this packet). You will receive the best benefit from treatment if you come to your appointments regularly. If you must cancel an appointment, this Agreement represents your promise that you will do so at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time. If you do not cancel 24 hours in advance, the BHCTC will need to charge you for a missed session because your clinician will have reserved that treatment time for you and will be unable to use that time to see any other patient. A missed appointment cannot be billed to your insurance carrier, which means that you will be responsible for paying the BHCTC in full a $100 cancellation fee for the missed appointment. The BHCTC recognizes that emergencies or other unplanned events do arise that cannot be helped (flat tires, sick children, family emergencies), so this Agreement allows you to cancel one (1) appointment less than 24 hours in advance within any 6 month period without any charge to you. If you cancel more than that, you understand and agree that BHCTC can bill you $100 for each missed appointment. Please note that you may receive an automated appointment reminder phone call from SMG. This is a courtesy only and if you do not receive one for your appointment it does not represent a valid excuse for a missed appointment. Sessions. Meet and Confer sessions will be open to the public, unless otherwise mutually agreed upon in advance. The only people empowered to speak are the authorized Meet and Confer representatives. The public may speak, if desired, after adjournment of the regular meeting.
Sessions. During the time of initial assessment, we can both decide if I am the best person to provide the services you need in order to meet your treatment goals. If counseling is begun, I will schedule one appointment hour of 50 minutes-duration at a frequency and time we agree on, although some sessions (couples) may be longer or frequency can change. Once an appointment hour is scheduled, you will be expected to attend unless you provide 24 hours in advance notice of cancellation, or unless we both agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances beyond your control. You will be expected to pay half the fee if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance and the full fee if you provide no notice of cancellation. PROFESSIONAL FEES My fee for the initial assessment is $250.00 (couples- 90 minutes) and $160 (individual- 50/60 minutes). The hourly fee for individual counseling is $120.00 (50 minutes). I do have a student rate (active and current students) of $130 initial session and $95 for the regular 50- minute session. The regular session fee for couples is $220 for the 90-minute session. I DO NOT accept insurance at this time. In addition to individual counseling appointments, I charge an hourly fee of $100.00 for other consultation services (includes report writing, phone conversations over 10 minutes, attendance at meetings you request me to attend, or other services you may request), though I will break down the hourly cost in 15-minute-blocks for periods of less than one hour. If you become involved in legal proceedings and require my participation, you will be expected to pay for my professional time. Because of the difficulty of legal involvement, I charge $200 per hour for preparation and attendance at any legal proceeding. The payment schedule for additional services is included in the intake packet. BILLING AND PAYMENTS You will be expected to pay for each session at the time it is held. At this time, I accept cash, Venmo, and PayPal only. CONTACTING ME I am sometimes not immediately available by telephone. I will not be able to answer the phone when I am with a client. When I am unavailable, you are welcome to leave me a message and I will return your call within 24 hours as able. I try to return calls on the same day when possible and when it is a reasonable time. Sessions. Normally an evaluation will last from one to three sessions with the first session being longer. Together, it is decided if your counselor is the best person to provide the services you need in order to meet your treatment goals. Thereafter, if you begin counseling, usually you will schedule one 55-minute session (one appointment hour – 55 minutes face to face and 10 minutes documentation) per week at a time agreed upon, although some sessions may be longer or more frequent. Assessments may take more time. Once an appointment is scheduled you will be expected to attend and pay for that session. 24 hours advance notice of cancellation is required. Our office understands that occasionally circumstances beyond your control arise. We will work with you if that is the reason for cancellation. However, only 2 less than 24-hour cancellations will be excused in any 6-month period. It is important to note that insurance companies do not provide reimbursement for cancelled sessions. PROFESSIONAL FEES. Fees vary depending on the services provided and the credentials of the counselor. A fee schedule is provided on the Professional Disclosure Statement. In addition to weekly appointments, this office charges for other professional services you may need. Other services may include report writing, telephone conversations lasting longer than 5 minutes, consulting with other professionals, preparation of records or treatment summaries, and the time spent performing any other service you may request. If you become involved in legal proceedings that require this office’s participation, you will be expected to pay for all professional time, including, but not limited to communication with any involved attorney; court testimony; and preparation; as well as any expenses or costs, such as transportation or parking. Due to difficulties associated with legal matters, this office charges a higher hourly rate for work related to legal matters. Please refer to the current fee schedule. Your counselor is often not immediately available by telephone. This may be because the counselor is seeing another patient or due to other work commitments. Sessions. The frequency of sessions and length of treatment will be guided by the needs and input from the client. Many issues and/or goals can be addressed through short term counselling while other issues and/or goals may need longer therapy. A session usually lasts one hour –sometimes longer. During a session, the session will focus on specific issues and directly work on at getting solutions using one or using all three theoretical approaches – Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioural or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I understand that Solution Focused therapy is an approach to psychotherapy based on solution-building rather than problem-solving. It explores current resources and future hopes rather than present problems and past causes and typically involves only three to five sessions.
