An Emergency. Hire is a short-term replacement position. Depending on the program or service, the position will be for a maximum of thirty (30) days or until the end of the current academic semester.

An Emergency Medical Condition is a medical or mental health Condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) that a prudent layperson, who possesses an average knowledge of health and medicine, could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in the following:

An Emergency Medical Condition is a medical or mental health Condition manifesting itself by acute symptoms of sufficient severity (including severe pain) that a prudent layperson, who possesses an average knowledge of health and medicine, could reasonably expect the absence of immediate medical attention to result in the following: · Placing the physical or mental health of the individual (or, with respect to a pregnant woman, the health of the woman or her unborn child) in serious jeopardy; · Serious impairment to bodily functions; · Serious dysfunction of any bodily organ or part; · Serious harm to self or others due to an alcohol or drug abuse emergency; · Injury to self or bodily harm to others; or · With respect to a pregnant woman having contractions: (i) That there is adequate time to affect a safe transfer to another hospital before delivery, or (ii) That transfer may pose a threat to the health or safety of the woman or the unborn child.

In the event that Emergency Financial Manager provision is declared unlawful, it will be stricken from this agreement.
