HOURS OF WORK DEFINED. Employees of Xxxxxxxxxx Hospital are scheduled to work an eight or twelve hour shift per work day in each pay period. However, when necessary for patient welfare and when approved by the CNO or Nurse in Charge, employees may be requested to work in excess of eight or twelve hours in a regular work day or more than their regular daily work schedule in a pay period. Short of an emergency, employees won’t be expected to work more than sixteen (16) hours straight. . On line schedule program is available however the work schedule will be posted within the Med/Surg department and any changes will be made to the online schedule. A list of employees and their telephone numbers will be posted and is available online. Work schedules will cover one pay period of fourteen (14) consecutive calendar days. They will be posted at least one pay period prior to the beginning of the schedule. Except for emergency conditions involving patient care and low census conditions, individual scheduled hours of work set forth on the posted work schedule may be changed only by mutual consent of the employer and employee. In the event the schedule cannot be posted one pay period prior in advance, staff will be notified. The employer agrees that employees within a work unit may exchange shift hours with one another consistent with work assignments and qualifications of employees involved and shall advise the supervisor at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Requests must be given to the supervisor in writing, trades must be in the same week, and cannot result in overtime for either employee. The CNO will either approve or decline the trade and return a copy of the request to trade time to the employees. The schedule changes will be made on the online schedule by the CNO or Nurse Supervisor. Employees must confirm approval before trading shifts. In the establishment of the work week schedule, the supervisor shall use seniority for the purpose of determining shift preference. All requests for modifications to a schedule must be submitted seven (7) days prior to the posting of the schedule. The employer will make every attempt to balance the schedule on weekends, so that it is fair and balanced as possible.
HOURS OF WORK DEFINED. The hours of work for Regular Bus Drivers shall be a minimum of five and one-half (5 ½) hours per day Monday through Friday, a guaranteed minimum of twenty-seven and one- half (27 ½) hours per week. The regularly scheduled working hours are defined on the Dispatch Assignment Notice and are subject to change. • Extra trips for Bus Drivers is any work available outside of the Dispatch Assignment Notices. • For drivers working less than five and one-half (5 ½) hours per day, the difference between the driver's actual daily working time and five and one-half (5 ½) hours per day, up to a maximum of one-half hour, may be scheduled by the Supervisor, Transportation and Auxiliary Services, for extra trips to make up the driver's weekly guaranteed hours. This may be scheduled in one or more trips per week up to a maximum of two and one-half (2 ½) hours per week. • Employees driving a kindergarten run shall be paid a minimum of two (2) hours for each kindergarten run, which shall be included to make up the guaranteed hours of work if necessary. • Any extra hours per day, up to eight (8) hours actual driving time in a twelve (12) hour period, shall be at the employee's hourly rate of pay. • It is agreed that if a regular scheduled bus run is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions the employee shall be entitled to two (2) hours pay at his regular rate of pay. It is further agreed that the provisions of Article 13(e) would not apply. • Employees shall be allowed fifteen (15) minutes per day for the "bus clean up"; such time to be included in the regular scheduled shift. Where drivers are required to wash the interior and exterior of their buses, they shall be allowed a minimum of one and one-half (1 ½) hours per week for full size buses and one (1) hour per week for mini buses, to be included to make up the guaranteed hours of work if necessary.
HOURS OF WORK DEFINED. The normal payroll week will be from 12:01 a.m. Monday to 12:00 midnight Sunday. All employees shall be required to punch time clock for all hours worked. Five (5) days work will constitute a normal week's work and will be scheduled Monday through Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eight (8) hours will constitute a normal day's work. One of the employee(s) working on water plant rounds will work Wednesday through Sunday 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Water Superintendent at his discretion may grant permission to adjust the daily schedule. The other employee(s) working on water plant rounds will work Monday through Friday 7:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. These assignments will be rotated as determined by the Water Superintendent. The employee working Saturday and Sunday as part of the regular 40 hour week will be compensated a premium of 10% for the hours worked on Saturday and Sunday. Employees called in to work will be paid a minimum of 2 hours pay for each call-in. Call-out time will be considered any time worked when a employee must report back to work after he/she has left the Authority's premises for the day and until he reports back to work for his regularly scheduled day. A minimum of 2 hours compensation will be paid for each time an employee is called in except when the calls overlap the 2 hour minimum or when an employee is called in to start earlier in the morning.
