Work Available. Contractor acknowledges that by signing this agreement the University does not guarantee that there will be any printing or publishing jobs available and that Contractor will not automatically be awarded any printing and publishing bids.
Work Available. An Employee on layoff with recall rights, who wishes to work on a casual or temporary basis in positions which are not posted, shall register with the Department Head, specifying those positions for which the laid-off Employee is immediately capable and qualified. To the extent practicable, the Employer will offer casual and temporary work to registered Employees, prior to Regular part time, Casual or Temporary Employees. They shall be considered as Casual Employees for the purpose of this section. The offer or acceptance of such work shall not affect the Employee's recall rights. Article OF WORK

Qualified Employees Orientation employee on lay off with recall rights is qualified to perform casual or temporary work in a different classification but needs a period of orientation to become immediately capable the employer will provide such an opportunity for that employee to receive that orientation. Such orientation shall not exceed one (1) week (the orientation period may be extended up to an additional two (2) with the approval of the employee involved) and the laid off employee shall take the orientationwithout pay.
Work Available. During our recent negotiations, the Union raised a concern over the possibility of confusion with people on leave due to occupational injury being reported as having work available when there was no work available or a dispute regarding the work being offered. In order to alleviate this possibility, the company agrees that we will notify the Union when we report to the WSIB administrator that work is available for the employee. Once we have done this, the Union or the employee may bring to the attention of the company any disagreement regarding the availability of work.
