Minimum working hours. The number of weekly working hours for part-time employees must be at least 8. For persons whose part- time work is subordinated to their main activity, such as early retirement, there is no lower limit for the average weekly working time.
Minimum working hours. Where an employee reports for work and no work is available, such employee shall be paid for a minimum of two (2) hours unless the employee is unfit to perform the employee’s duties or the employee has failed to comply with WorkSafeBC Occupational Health & Safety Regulations.
