Section Seniority. Seniority shall be determined by the dates of employment as adjusted and appearing on the seniority list published from time to time. Effective February after an employee has passed the preliminary examination he or she shall be considered as on probation for a period of nine (9) continuous months worked. The Employer may, for reasonable cause, with written notification to the union, extend the probationary period for up to an additional three (3) continuous months worked. At the end of this period the employee shall be subject to a final examination by the Division or Department and, if found satisfactory, seniority shall be established as of the date of hire. All things being equal, seniority shall prevail at all times
Section Seniority. The length of service on a regular, full time basis in the applicable line of progression. The principle of the plant seniority will be i n determining who will be laid off. Any employee promoted to a supervisory or staff removes him from the bargaining unit retain his plant and department seniority within the bargaining unit for a period of three months. In addition. he will retain his plant seniority within the bargaining unit for a further six months. Union membership shall be maintained during this period. Any extension of the above shall be by mutual agreement and limited to one month intervals during which all conditions above shall apply.

An employee does not have seniority rights until completes the Regular On Grid employee requirements as established by Appendix “A ” of this agreement and becomes a permanent employee. Once established, an employee’s seniority date will remain unchanged except as provided for herein, and the employee’s name will be placed on the department seniority list of the department within which is working. The Company agrees to compile and post departmental seniority lists of all Union employees within three (3) months after signing of the Agreement. Such lists shall be amended and quarterly. If, within one (1) month after the first posting, an employee submits proof that their seniority date should be altered and such proof is accepted by the Company and the Union, an amendment will be made accordingly. The Company will also supply the Union with a copy of the seniority lists and the correction thereto.
