UNION XXXXXXX. 9:01 The Union may appoint and the Employer shall recognize a Xxxxxxx for each shop, job or area. The Employer's General Manager shall be notified in writing of the name of the Xxxxxxx when the appointment becomes effective. The Xxxxxxx shall be recognized as the representative of the Union for the shop, job or area in which he/she is working and no discrimination shall be shown against the Xxxxxxx for carrying out his/her Union duties. The Xxxxxxx shall not be laid off, transferred or discharged by reason of executing his/her Union duties and responsibilities as a Xxxxxxx. To be eligible for appointment as a Xxxxxxx, the employee must have been in the employ of the Company for 12 consecutive months immediately prior to the appointment.
UNION XXXXXXX. The Xxxxxxx elected or appointed by the UNION.
UNION XXXXXXX. Employees selected by the Union to act as Union representatives shall be known as "Stewards". One Xxxxxxx shall be designated by the Union as the Chief Xxxxxxx. The names of the employees so selected (including the alternates designated to act in their absence) and those of other Union representatives authorized to represent employees will be certified in writing to the Employer by the local Union. The local Union will also certify, in writing, the names of the members, not to exceed three (3) in number, who will constitute the Union Committee for the purposes of Labor-Management meetings. This certification shall be updated at least semi-annually. The Union shall attempt to locate Stewards within each shift so as to ensure the most efficient performance of their responsibilities and the minimum interference with their regular job duties.
UNION XXXXXXX. (a) In case the Union Xxxxxxx is present for the discussion, then the immediate supervisor may have another supervisor with him/her when the discussion takes place.
UNION XXXXXXX. Union Xxxxxxx is retained in their classification by seniority, otherwise as a general in their department/shift.
UNION XXXXXXX. The Xxxxxxx may assist any Employee which the Xxxxxxx represents, in preparing and presenting his grievance in accordance with the grievance procedure.
UNION XXXXXXX. The Institute recognizes the right of the Union to appoint a Union Xxxxxxx from employees to assist the employees in presenting grievances to representatives of the Institute. The Union may designate one xxxxxxx and one alternate xxxxxxx to represent employees. The Union shall inform the Institute in writing of the names of the Xxxxxxx and alternate Xxxxxxx and the effective date of their appointment.
UNION XXXXXXX a. Recognition of Union Xxxxxxx: The union will designate and the Company will recognize one (1) Primary Union Xxxxxxx and one (1) Alternate from the employee seniority list. The Company shall not be required to recognize any employee as a Union Xxxxxxx unless the Union has informed the Company, in writing, of the employee's name. The Union may remove a Xxxxxxx at any time in keeping with its right of designating stewards.
UNION XXXXXXX. The Union shall designate one duly authorized bargaining unit representative. The Union will provide written notice to the Director of Public Works to identify the Xxxxxxx.
