Super Seniority. In the event of a layoff, the Plant Chairperson, Committeepersons and Stewards shall have super seniority.
Super Seniority. Those Union Stewards entitled to super seniority under the terms of this Agreement shall head the seniority list and shall be the last to be laid off in the organizational unit.
Super Seniority. For layoff purposes only, employees employed under continuing contracts shall have greater seniority than employees employed under limited contracts.
Super Seniority. For purposes of layoff and recall only, the President shall head the seniority list, provided however, that such officer must have the necessary skill and experience to perform the required work. The Sheriff agrees that this section shall not be applied in an arbitrary manner.
Super Seniority. For the purpose of layoff or transfer of positions in the bargaining unit, the seven (7) CEA Executive Board members and CEA negotiators shall head the seniority list of State service from the date of notice to the Employer of their designated status.
Super Seniority. Notwithstanding his or her position on the seniority list, the President of the Association shall, in the event of a layoff, be continued at work as long as there is work for which he is qualified to perform and shall be recalled to work in the event of a layoff to the first vacancy in the Department provided he is qualified to perform the required work.
Super Seniority. Notwithstanding their position on the seniority list, the president of the bargaining unit, for the period for which they hold such office, shall be the last bargaining unit employee laid off and the first bargaining unit employee to be recalled, provided they are able to perform the required work. The Union agrees that this Section shall not be abused to avert potential layoff.
Super Seniority. Notwithstanding their position on the seniority list, during the period of their appointment, executive committee members [not to exceed nine (9)] shall, in the event of a layoff for lack of work, be continued at work so long as there is a job in the Unit for which they have, after one (1) workday training, the ability to satisfactorily perform the job. It is understood and agreed that in the event of a curtailment of the work force, the executive committee members [not to exceed nine (9)] shall be required to exercise their actual seniority under the terms of this Agreement until such time as such actual seniority will no longer permit them to remain at work in their Unit at which time the super-seniority provided for in this paragraph may be invoked.
Super Seniority. In the event of a layoff and so long as there is work available which they are able and qualified to perform, notwithstanding their position on the seniority list, the following Union officials shall, during their term of office, be retained by the Company: Union President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Chairman of the Grievance Committee and the elected Grievance Committee.
Super Seniority. Notwithstanding their position on the seniority list, the President and Chief Xxxxxxx of the Local Union, in the event of a layoff other than seasonal, shall be continued at work so long as there is a job in the bargaining unit for which they have the then-present ability to satisfactorily perform.
