PERSONAL LEAVE RELIEF FUND. The Association and District will establish and manage a Personal Leave Relief Fund (PLRF) for active EEA bargaining unit members. The purpose of the PLRF is to provide financial assistance when a unit member’s family member is experiencing a catastrophic circumstance and the unit member has exhausted all available paid leave. Catastrophic circumstances include the unit member’s necessary care of a family member experiencing events such as life threatening illness, major surgery or debilitating illness or injury, which would result in the employee being on leave without pay for more than five (5) work days. The Association and District will jointly and collaboratively manage the PLRF. This agreement will continue unless either the District or Association gives one year notice of termination. APPENDIX D – MISCELLANEOUS SEMINAR COORDINATOR The Association and the District value their partnership in providing professional development. To support that partnership, the Seminar Coordinator position will be funded at 0.2 for the life of this contract. This position is not a status quo obligation of the contract.

APPENDIX D MISCELLANEOUS ONE-TIME PAYMENT AND RESERVE TRANSFER For 2014-15, EEA may use funds from the licensed insurance reserves to fund a one-time payment of $200.00 to all members actively employed and in paid status and enrolled for insurance as of December 1, 2014. The one-time payment will be the same for each eligible member, and not prorated for part-time FTE. Members who retire on or by December 1, 2014 and are not rehired to finish the work year are not eligible for the one-time payment. Payment will be distributed on December 31, 2014 through the 4J payroll system. The licensed insurance reserve fund will cover the entire expense of the one-time payment, including all fixed payroll costs such as District-paid PERS, FICA, unemployment, and workers compensation. Funds necessary to cover the total cost of this one-time payment will be transferred from the licensed insurance reserve fund to the District general fund during the 2014-15 school year.

  • Extended Personal Leave Personal leave without pay not to exceed thirty (30) 26 days may be granted at the discretion of the Superintendent. Personal leave in 27 excess of thirty (30) days shall be subject to approval by the Board.

  • Personal Leave Written request for a personal leave of absence without pay will be considered on an individual basis by the Hospital. Such requests are to be submitted to the employee's immediate supervisor at least four (4) weeks in advance, unless not reasonably possible to give such notice, and a written reply will be given within fourteen (14) days except in cases of emergency in which case a reply will be given as soon as possible. Employees needing personal leave days for appointments with medical practitioners may utilize the personal leave language. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.

  • Personal Leave Day A. An employee may choose one (1) workday as a personal leave day each fiscal year during the life of this Agreement if the employee has been continuously employed for more than four (4) months.

  • Personal Leaves 8.11.4.1 As approved by the Board, personal leaves without pay may be granted in cases of exceptional need for up to six (6) months. Any such leave exceeding one (1) semester shall not be counted toward tenure or promotion or for computing salary increments. These leaves may be extended by the PVPAA upon recommendation of the xxxx for up to one (1) year.

  • Personal Leave Accrual All employees shall accrue personal leave at the rate of one and twenty-three hundredths (1.23) hours for each eighty (80) hours in active pay status, excluding overtime hours, not to exceed a total of thirty-two (32) hours accrued in one year.

  • Personal Leave With Pay With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.

  • Sick/Personal Leave Leave granted to the teacher for sick, personal or bereavement reasons.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave Where an employee has exhausted all paid personal leave entitlements, they are entitled to take unpaid personal leave to care for members of their immediate family or household who are sick and require care and support or who require care due to an unexpected emergency. The employer and the employee shall agree on the period. In the absence of agreement, the employee is entitled to take up to two days (up to a maximum of 16 hours) of unpaid leave per occasion, provided the requirements of 7.2.5(a) and 7.2.5(b) are met.

  • Paid Personal Leave A.   • Personal Leave of Absence The Administrator may grant a request for leave of absence for personal reasons without pay provided that he receives at least one (1) month's clear notice, in writing, unless impossible, and provided that such leave may be arranged without undue inconvenience to the normal operations of the Nursing Home. Employees when applying for such leave shall indicate the proposed date of departure and return. Such leave shall not be unreasonably withheld.
