An employee may, in circumstances permitted by the Pension Plan, choose to continue to accrue Pensionable Service (as that term is defined in the Pension Plan) during an Unpaid Personal Leave.

After exhausting the FMLA entitlement, an employee must return to work or apply for an Unpaid Personal Leave.
The employee is not allowed to re-purchase time into PERS upon his return to work after an Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence.
