Personal Leave With Pay. With prior notification, full-time employees who are eligible to accrue sick leave may use a maximum of six (6) days personal leave with pay per year, provided that such days shall be charged against the employee’s current accrued sick leave. This leave is non-cumulative.
Personal Leave With Pay. Subject to operational requirements as determined by the Employer and with an advance notice of at least five (5) working days, the employee shall be granted, in each fiscal year, a single period of up to seven decimal five (7.5) hours of leave with pay for reasons of a personal nature.
Personal Leave With Pay. Instructional personnel may be absent six (6) days each school year for personal reasons, including religious holidays, without being required to state the reason. Before or after holidays a reason shall be required and provided further, that personal leave before or after holiday must be approved by the principal. Such absences for personal reasons shall be charged only to accrued sick leave, leave for personal reasons shall be non-cumulative and shall not create an undue hardship for a particular school. All personal leave must be requested at least forty-eight (48) hours in advance, except in an emergency, which must be described to the immediate supervisor.
Personal Leave With Pay. Employees may request Personal Leave with Pay in circumstances where existing entitlements as set out in this Agreement prove insufficient. Such requests for leave shall be in writing stating the reason for the request to the Manager of Human Resources.
Personal Leave With Pay. 1. An employee will be granted time off from work and shall receive pay at straight-time rate, subject to the following provisions, for the following purposes:
Personal Leave With Pay. Recognizing the over-riding responsibility to the students, leave of absence will be scheduled where possible to ensure a minimum of disruption to the educational programs and services of the College. Reasonable notice shall be given to the Supervisor concerned. Leave of absence for personal reasons, religious leave and special leave in extenuating personal circumstances may be granted at the discretion of the College without loss of pay and such requests shall not be unreasonably denied.
Personal Leave With Pay. A member of the bargaining unit may be absent six (6) days each school year for personal reasons; provided, however, that such absences for personal reasons shall be charged only to accrued sick leave; and provided, further, that leave for personal reasons shall be noncumulative and shall not create an undue hardship for a particular school. The procedure for notifying the principal of intent to use personal leave with pay shall be the same as for sick leave with pay. However, when personal leave with pay is requested a day preceding or following a holiday or a non-workday for members of the bargaining unit, the leave will be requested in advance except for emergencies. On early release or other in service days (see Article VI E 3), personal leave will be allowed only for religious holidays, weddings, or bereavement. Teachers shall work collaboratively with the principal to develop plans to reduce the incidence of absenteeism at the school including a reduction of the use of personal leave before holidays. Except as indicated herein, the only explanation required for using personal leave with pay shall be personal business. Employees shall not be denied personal leave for religious holidays.
Personal Leave With Pay. Personal leaves of absence may be granted with pay upon approval of the Sheriff and the Finance Committee.
Personal Leave With Pay. Faculty Members may take approved personal leave with pay, not to exceed three (3) days per year with prior notification to the appropriate administrator. Faculty Members are not required to state any reason for the leave beyond the term “personal.” Faculty members will make a good faith effort to minimize disruptions to their teaching and service obligations. In the case of an emergency, where prior notification is not possible, the faculty member will notify their supervisor as soon as possible. Personal days shall only be applied in full-day increments,

Leaves of absence as provided in this Article will therefore be scheduled where possible to ensure a minimum of disruption to the educational programs and services of the College. Reasonable notice shall be given to the supervisor concerned. It is understood that leaves under Article 12, Leaves of Absence, or under Article 8.1.9, Short-Term Disability Plan (STD), that are for the purpose of dealing with the death, illness, injury, or medical emergency of a person referred to in 12.3 or are for personal illness, injury, or medical emergency should be credited towards the emergency leave provisions of the Employment Standards Act, 2000.
