Parental leave definition

Parental leave means leave to bond and to care for a newborn child after birth or to bond and care for a child after placement for adoption or xxxxxx care, for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks after the birth or placement.
Parental leave means adoption leave, maternity leave, special maternity leave and paternity leave, as appropriate.
Parental leave means leave provided for by subclause (4)(a); "partner" means a spouse or de facto partner.

  • The NES Parental Leave provisions apply when:- • an employee gives birth; • an employee’s spouse / partner gives birth; • an employee adopts a child under sixteen (16) years of age.

  • Maternity, Adoption and Parental Leave Employees shall be entitled to maternity, adoption and leave as specified under the Standards Act, Part 7" as amended from time to time.
