Parental leave definition

Parental leave means leave to bond and to care for a newborn child after birth or to bond and care for a child after placement for adoption or xxxxxx care, for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks after the birth or placement.
Parental leave means adoption leave, maternity leave, special maternity leave and paternity leave, as appropriate.
Parental leave means leave provided for by subclause (4)(a); "partner" means a spouse or de facto partner.

Parental leave means a leave of absence for an employee who has been employed by Hydro One for at least 13 weeks and who is the parent of a child. This employee is entitled to a leave of absence following the birth of the child, or the coming of the child into the custody, care and control of the parent for the first time. Unless provided for in this Article, this leave is without pay. For an employee who takes pregnancy leave, the leave of absence is for a period of up to 35 weeks. For an employee who does not take pregnancy leave, the leave of absence is for a period of up to 37 weeks.
