Examples of Jury Duty in a sentence
Total hours on Jury Duty or Witness Duty and actual work on the job in the store in one (1) day shall not exceed eight (8) hours for purposes of establishing the basic workday.
For the duration of the Jury Duty, or required attendance at an Inquest or court (subpoenaed witness), the employee's normal base earnings and benefits will be maintained.
Such employees will further be required to deliver a "Jury Duty Certification" form at the end of the required jury duty to verify such service.
It is understood that such reimbursement shall not be for hours in excess of eight (8) per day or forty (40) per week, less statutory pay received for Jury Duty.
If an employee is required to report to jury duty during hours the employee is not scheduled to work (e.g. it is the employee’s normal day off, the employee is off work pursuant to FMLA, CFRA, or workers’ compensation leave, the employee is not in a paid status for the pay period, etc.) the employee is not entitled to Jury Duty leave for those hours.
