Jury Duty definition

Jury Duty means cash paid by Delphi for paid time off for specified periods of jury duty, pursuant to the applicable collective bargaining agreement, to hourly employees for the time period included in calculating the Labor Cost Amount.
Jury Duty. Any teacher involuntarily called upon to serve as a juror in a federal or state court shall be granted a leave of absence by the District for that purpose and for those days the teacher is required to be in court. The teacher shall receive all pay and other benefits that would have accrued had he/she been teaching during the period of absence for jury duty, less all per diem allowances and any other compensation received for such duty.

Jury Duty. Notice Board", "First Aid", "Wearing Apparel", and 8.08 "Business Agents Visits". A part-time employee shall be entitled to request, in writing, one special two (2) week annual personal leave of absence, without pay, at a time mutually satisfactory to both parties which may be adjacent to her vacation, if sufficient notice is given to the Company. Such request shall be made to the Store Manager who will forward the request to the Human Resources Department. A request for a longer period of time will not be unreasonably denied. Leaves of absence for Union activities will be handled in the same manner as full time.
Jury Duty. Student Employees will be granted jury duty leave in accordance with applicable laws. The receipt of a notice to report for jury duty must be reported immediately to the supervisor. To the extent permitted by law, Student Employees shall request a postponement of jury service if requested to do so by their department or program. Bereavement Leave: Student Employees on a salaried appointment may be absent without loss of pay or benefits for up to three (3) days in the event of the death in the immediate family or household. A longer paid absence may be appropriate in circumstances of logistical difficulty or severe emotional distress or religious observance if approved by the supervisor. Immediate family includes spouse, children (including stepchildren), grandchildren, parents (including stepparents), siblings, grandparents, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law, legal guardian; and household includes individuals regularly sharing the Student Employee’s residence.
Jury Duty. Bargaining unit members shall be granted time off at their regular rate of pay when subpoenaed to court as a juror, provided the time for jury duty is during the bargaining unit member’s normal scheduled work shift. If the bargaining unit member is released from Jury Duty within (2) two hours of the normal end of his scheduled work shift, he is required to return to duty. If the bargaining unit member is released less than two (2) hours from the normal end of their scheduled work shift, they shall contact their immediate supervisor. Jury Duty. A health associate summoned to serve on a jury can request to be excused from such jury service. Health associates who must serve will be permitted time off without the loss of pay contingent upon the health associate reimbursing the School District any fees / per xxxx received from the court for said jury duty.
