Court Appearances. If an employee is subpoenaed to appear as a witness in a job-related court case, not during the employee’s regularly assigned shift, the employee shall be credited for actual time worked, or a minimum of two and one-half hours, whichever is greater.

Court Appearances. All employees shall receive full compensation as though they were performing their regular duties during such time as they are required to appear as a witness before any Grand Jury or in any court as:
Court Appearances. Section I The following court provisions will apply to all employees in the Unit, except those in the Police Department. When an employee is required to appear in the Superior or Municipal Court in and for the County of Los Angeles outside of his/her normal duty hours, but on a matter arising within the scope of his/her employment, said employee shall be entitled to receive a minimum of one hour at 1½ times his/her regular rate of pay. Time spent in excess of the one-hour minimum guarantee shall also be at the rate of 1½ times the employee's regular rate of pay, payable in six (6) minute increments. No compensation shall be paid for the first forty- five (45) minutes of the Court's noon recess, provided, however, that no such compensation shall be allowed unless such employee is in actual attendance in court. Such compensation for court appearances may be in either time off or cash. Call back provisions are not applicable to court appearances.
Court Appearances. An employee shall be granted leave with pay when summoned as a witness or juror provided that such action is not occasioned by the employee's private affairs and provided that all pay in excess of travel and meal allowance is remitted to the College.

Court Appearances. Employees will be granted leave without deduction of salary for court appearances if the employee is subpoenaed by the Crown to be a witness in a court action or is summoned for jury duty, provided however, the employee shall remit to the Division any remuneration which the employee may receive because of an appearance in court as a witness or as a juror.

Court Appearances. Time spent by employees appearing in court as a function of their current or previous positions in state government shall be considered as hours worked. All witness fees and reimbursements received as a result of these court appearances shall be returned to the State. Employees attending courts as a plaintiff, defendant or witness on non-work related matters, may use vacation leave or earned compensatory time. In the event the employee is subpoenaed for non-work related matters and does not have vacation leave or compensatory time the Agency Head and/or his/her Designee shall grant a leave of absence. Any witness fees paid to the employee for these court appearances shall be kept by the employee.
Court Appearances. Leaves of absence for jury duty or for court appearance as a witness pursuant to subpoena, where the need for the testimony is not brought about through the misconduct of the faculty member (full-time or part-time), will be granted with pay up to the difference between the faculty member's regular pay and any amount received as jury or witness fee exclusive of any travel allowance which might be paid. Any appearance as a defendant in a criminal proceeding or for personal business shall be without pay.
Court Appearances. 9.14.1 A Unit Member shall be paid when summoned to jury duty, while making a court appearance related to his/her employment, or when requested to make a material contribution (either as a witness or to file a formal deposition) to a criminal case. When summoned for jury duty, any compensation, other than mileage, meals, and parking, received for such jury duty shall be endorsed over to the Employer. A Unit Member whose regular work shift commences at 4:00pm or later shall be relieved of duty with pay for any night in which the Unit Member was required to be in court six (6) or more hours during the day.
