AND WAGES. The Employer will classify employees and will pay hourly rates in accordance with Appendix "A" attached which forms part of this Agreement. All benefits and indirect monetary entitlements for employees regularly working less than thirty-seven and one- half hours per week and more than twenty-four (24) hours per week will be prorated. The Employer agrees that employees will be paid every two weeks. When a new classification which is covered by the terms of this Collective Agreement is established by the Employer, the Employer shall determine the rate of pay for the new classification and notify the local Union. If the Union challenges the rate it shall have the right to request a meeting with the Employer within ten days after receipt of notice from the Employer and endeavour to negotiate a mutually satisfactory rate for the new classification. Any change in rate shall be adjusted retroactively to the date that the new classification was first filled. If the parties are unable to agree, the dispute the new rate may be submitted to arbitration in line with the terms of this Collective Agreement, within fifteen (15) days of the above meeting. The decision of the arbitration board shall be based on the relationship established by comparison with other classifications within the bargaining unit, having regard to the requirements of such position and shall be retroactive to the date that the new classification was first filled. Progression through the wage grid, (Schedule "A"), will be in accordance with length of service in the classification.
AND WAGES. Except as otherwise provided for in this Agreement, all employees covered by this Agreement shall be paid on an hourly basis. otherwise specified in a particular job description or as covered in Article a basic day is defined as eight (8) hours. Each regularly assigned employee shall be guaranteed a forty (40) hour work week which shall, unless otherwise posted in an individual job bulletin, start on a Monday of each week. Regular day shall start at or between hours and hours. Notwithstanding the above, the starting time for an employee may be established or changed to meet the operational requirements of by giving the employee forty-eight (48) hours notice of the change. Unless otherwise posted in an individual job bulletin or as covered by Article below, the work week shall be defined as a period at hours of each Monday through hours of each Sunday. Employees who absent themselves their assignments for any reason during the work week shall have their pay adjusted in the next pay period by the actual number of hours the standard hours in any week that they may be so absent. Work assignments covered as provided in the Annexes to this Agreement. Where possible, however, and wherever the requirements of service permit, assignments will in all departments be bulletined to work consecutive days and to provide a minimum of two (2) consecutive rest days in a work week with a presumption that Saturday and Sunday are the preferred rest days if the requirement of service discuss the scheduling and implementation of assignments with the applicable Union. The parties recognize that to meet the service needs and operating conditions of the employees work week may be bulletined with the scheduled rest days other than Saturday and Sunday. may request an employee to be moved from his regular assignment or may force such a move in an emergency. For the purposes of Article emergency does not include manpower shortages or delays to a customer. An employee who is absent for any authorized reason shall advise at least two (2) hours in advance of his intention to return to work. AND WAGES. The Home will classify employees and will hourly rates in accordance with Schedule A attached. Employees will be paid each two weeks worked. The normal shall be Friday except where a paid holiday occurs on a Friday, when the pay day will be advanced by one day. Employees on the night shift in Winnipeg, and employees in Saskatchewan shall be paid the Dangerous Goods premium only for hours worked on dangerous goods. All pay shortages of one hundred dollars ($100) gross or more will be paid within two (2) working days of the Company being notified. For the purpose of Article and there shall be two classifications, Clerical and Warehouse.

Professional Support clerical employees in the administration building and technical employees become eligible for adjustment on January 1st of each year, where applicable. Where an employee is promoted to a position classified at a higher salary level, will receive the minimum salary for the higher level.
