Upon ratification a new employee shall work under the provisions of this Agreement, but shall be employed on a ninety (90) days worked trial basis, during which period he may be discharged without further recourse, provided however, that the Employer may not discharge or discipline for the purpose of evading this Agreement or discrimination against Union members. After working ninety (90) days, the employee shall be placed on the regular seniority list and his seniority date shall be the first (1st) day worked.
Upon ratification the City agrees to reimburse employees who are employed in the Journeyman Lineman, Journeyman Tree Trimmer, and Apprentice Lineman classifications and whose job responsibilities require climbing an annual allowance of up to three hundred dollars ($300.00) for the purchase or rebuild of boots. All other employees will be allowed reimbursement of up to two hundred dollars ($200.00) for the purchase or rebuild of boots annually. Employees may elect to carry over the equivalent dollar amount of the annual boot allowance to the next calendar year only. For example, an employee who receives a three hundred dollar ($300.00) annual boot allowance may carry that amount over to the next calendar year and spend up to six hundred dollars ($600.00) that year. Under no circumstance will an employee receive reimbursement for more than twice their annual boot allowance in a two (2) year period.

Upon ratification of the Agreement, Employees performing de- ice and pushback duties in air hubs and gateways shall be paid an hourly premium for the duration of the shift in which such duties are performed. For deice duties the premium shall be one dollar ($1.00) per hour, for pushback the premium shall be seventy‑five cents ($0.75) per hour.
Upon ratification the Employer agrees to the payment of a weekend premium of twenty cents ($0.20) per hour and effective August 31, 2013, twenty five cents ($0.25) per hour for all hours worked between 12 midnight (2400 hours) Friday to 12 midnight (2400 hours) Sunday.
