ARTICLE UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. (a) It is mutually agreed that where negotiations are conducted the Union will elect or otherwise select a negotiating committee consisting of three (3) members, one of whom shall be the Chief Xxxxxxx and one (1) shall be from the part-time compliment. All members of the committee shall be regular employees of the Employer who have completed at least six (6) month’s of continuous service with the Employer. The Employer will compensate employee members of the Union negotiating committee as set out in Article (a) for time necessarily lost from work to attend negotiation meetings including conciliation but not arbitration. Employees on the evening and night shift shall receive paid time off for the actual day of the negotiations meeting. The Employer will recognize the Union Administrative Committee which shall consist of a Chief Xxxxxxx and six (6) stewards all selected from members of the bargaining unit, one (I) of whom shall be from the Retirement Home and two (2) of whom shall be part-time employees. No more than two (2) committee members shall meet with the Employer at any one time. All members of the committee shall be employees of the Employer who have completed six (6) months of continuous service with the Employer. The committee shall meet on request of either party at least once each month for the purpose of discussing all matters of mutual concern. The committee shall have power to make recommendations to the Union and to the Employer. The Union acknowledges that the members of the Union Administrative Committee must continue to perform their regular duties and that so far as possible all activities of the committee will be carried on outside the regular working hours of the members thereof, unless otherwise mutually arranged. The Employer shall pay representatives and Committee members their respective wages for all time lost from regularly scheduled hours investigating and/or processing grievances, up to but not including the Arbitration stage, negotiation of the Collective Agreement and the renewals thereof, up to and including conciliation, and while attending meetings with the Employer. ARTICLE UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. The Union shall have the right to appoint or otherwise select a committee of four (4) employees to represent the Union in negotiations, discussion of grievances or other matters that may arise between the parties during the term of this Agreement, which require discussion. The Union shall further have the right to appoint or otherwise select one (1) xxxxxxx from amongst the employees in each of the following areas: Packaging, Processing, Maintenance Warehousing Members of the Union Committee, Stewards and such other employees that may hold office in the Union have regular duties to perform as employees of the Company. Therefore, such employees shall not leave their work or participate in any discussion of Union matters during working hours without first obtaining permission from their respective supervisor. Such permission shall not be unreasonablywithheld. The Union shall keep the Company advised of the name of its stewards and committee members. No employee shall be recognized as such until the Company has received official notificationfrom the Union. An employee shall not act as a xxxxxxx or member of the Union Committee until has completed the probationaryperiod. The Company will pay the negotiating committee for all regular hours lost from work in direct negotiations with the Company, including conciliation. Payment shall be at each employee’s regular number of hours multiplied by the applicable hourly rate but exclusive of any premium payments. The Business Representative of the Union shall be granted permission to enter the Company's premises after receiving permission from the Plant Manager or his designate, and with the understanding that there will be no interference or in production.

The Employer shall be advised of the names of members of this committee and shall be notified of any changes from time to time. Same as Full-Time Agreement. Same as Full-Time Agreement. ARTICLE UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. The Union shall elect or otherwise select up to members of the bargaining unit who shall function as the Union Committee. One of the representatives so selected or elected will be the Union Chairperson. The Union shall the Employer from time to time with an update on the current Union Committee representatives. The Union Chairperson will be assigned to the day shift unless mutually agreed otherwise by the parties. If the Chairperson is not working on the day shift she will exchange her shift with the least senior employee on the day shift in her classification. At the end of her tenure as Union Chairperson the employees will revert back to their original shift, or the position of their last successful posting. The Union Committee will meet with the Employer on a regular basis as is mutually agreed upon to discuss and resolve any grievances and other matters that either party may raise. Such meetings will occur on the Employer’s premises and during the day shift during regularly scheduled working hours. Either party may request a meeting which shall be held within five (5) calendar days of the request. The Union Committee shall have the right at any time to have the assistance of representatives of the CAW. Normally such representatives shall have access to the Employer’s premises.
ARTICLE UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. The Union shall have the right to appoint or otherwise select up to three (3) Employees to act as stewards and to assist other Employees in the presentation of any grievances they may have, if such assistance is requested but in no event shall more than one xxxxxxx be appointed or selected from any one job classification. The Employer shall not be required to meet with more than two stewards at any one time plus a full-time Union representative. The Union shall have the right to appoint or to otherwise select a negotiating committee of not more than three (3) Employees, and will deal with the said committee with respect to any matter which properly arises from time to time during the term of the agreement. No Employee shall act in the capacities referredto in and above until after she has completed her probationary period. The Union and the Employer acknowledges and agree that stewards have regular duties to perform in connection with their employment, all such activities will be carried on outside regular working hours unless otherwise mutually agreed upon. There shall be no Union activity on the Employer's time or on the Employer's premises except that which is necessary for the processing of grievances and the administration and enforcement of this agreement. Union Committee members or stewards will not lose pay from their regular shift for Un meetings, negotiation meetings, grievance meetings before and after but not including the conciliation process in the case of negotiations, and not including arbitration, in the case of grievances. Designated Union Committee members involved in negotiation meetings will not be expected to report for duty on the day the negotiations are held.
ARTICLE UNION COMMITTEE AND STEWARDS. Save and except a part-time member of the bargaining unit may comprise a third member of the Bargaining Committee as set out in Article of the Full-time Collective Agreement.

  • Union-Management Committee There shall be a union/management committee comprised of four (4) employee representatives appointed by the Union and four (4) employer representatives. The Committee's purpose is to provide and promote effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas and to make joint recommendations on matters of concern. Matters that are properly the subject of an individual grievance will not be discussed at this committee. The Committee will meet quarterly, unless agreed otherwise, at a time and place mutually agreed to provided there is business for their joint consideration. The parties will exchange agenda items at least one (1) week prior to the meeting. The parties further agree the Committee may meet at any time its members mutually agree a meeting should be held. The duties of the Chairperson will be shared by the parties. Copies of the minutes shall be provided to Committee members. The employer agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the union attending such meetings. The parties may utilize video or teleconferencing services for the purposes of committee members attending committee meetings, where appropriate and available. Neither party can unreasonably deny an initiative to utilize video or teleconferencing services.
