Member of the Union definition

Member of the Union means a State party to the Act of 1961/1972 or the Act of 1978, or a Contracting Party.

  • An employee who is not a member of the Union may report the grievance or dispute to senior management or the nominated industrial representative.

  • If the grievance or dispute is still unresolved after discussions mentioned in clause 3.1.2, the matter shall, in the case of a member of the Union, be reported to the relevant officer of that Union and the senior management of the employer or the employer's nominated industrial representative.

  • During the term of this Agreement, the Employer shall deduct dues from the pay of each member of the Union who voluntarily executes a wage assignment authorization form.

  • Where an employee who is a member of the Union and who has authorised the employer to make payroll deductions of Union membership fees resigns his or her membership of the Union in accordance with the rules of the Union, the Union shall inform the employee in writing of the need to revoke the authorisation to the employer in order for payroll deductions of union membership fees to cease.
