Regular Shift. The normal daily hours of work for a Regular Shift, exclusive of a lunch period as per Article H:03(2), shall be eight (8) hours per day not including a one-half (½) hour daily platform time. The normal work week shall be five (5) days with the days off to be according to the Rotating Schedule of Days Off as shown in Sub-Schedule “H:1".
Regular Shift. If an Employee starts work on a scheduled shift, and is then sent home due to a lack of work, the Employee shall be paid a minimum of four (4) hours at the Employee’s regular straight time rate of pay or for work actually performed, whichever is greater.

Upon the completion the em- ployee of three and one-half continuous hours of overtime work fol- lowing the completion of the three and one-half (3%) hour work period by the employee, the employee shall be given another paid meal period of one- half (%) hour which, except in the case of an emergency, shall be taken at the end of each three and one-half (3%) hour work period. Regular Shift. Each employee shall be scheduled to work on a regular shift. Each employee shall be scheduled regular hours and a regular work week. Shift schedules are subject to change according to the itinerary schedule described below for classifications listed and for special units and teams, including, but not limited to: Street Crimes, Traffic, Investigations, Transit, Police Administrative Support Specialists, Records, Evidence, Fleet Coordinator, Code Compliance Officers, Program Specialists, Full-time Training Instructor, Canine Handler (K-9), Westside Interagency Narcotics Team (WIN), Interagency Gang Enforcement Team (IGET), Metro Gang Task Force (MGTF), Parking Enforcement and Force Tactic Instructors (FTI).
Regular Shift. All work after the end of a regular working week as provided for in Article 19.02, 19.03 and 20.01 on Monday to Friday inclusive will be paid at the rate of one and one half (1 1/2) times the rate established herein for work performed during the regular working period. Where an employee is required to work beyond the daily provisions in Article 19.02 and 19.03, a non-alcoholic beverage shall be provided during a fifteen (15) minute break at the end of the regular shift and every two (2) hours thereafter at no loss of time to him.
