Regular Shift. The normal daily hours of work for a Regular Shift, exclusive of a lunch period as per Article H:03(2), shall be eight (8) hours per day not including a one-half (½) hour daily platform time. The normal work week shall be five (5) days with the days off to be according to the Rotating Schedule of Days Off as shown in Sub-Schedule “H:1".
Regular Shift. Regular Shift means a shift that is regularly scheduled as part of the employee’s normal two week rotation for their position. One or more shifts of an available vacant position committed to by an employee, shall become part of that employee’s regular shift until the vacant position is filled as a whole.
Regular Shift. A regularly scheduled recurring daily period of work with a fixed starting and ending time, exclusive of overtime work.
Regular Shift. If an Employee starts work on a scheduled shift, and is then sent home due to a lack of work, the Employee shall be paid a minimum of four (4) hours at the Employee’s regular straight time rate of pay or for work actually performed, whichever is greater.
Regular Shift. An employee who reports for work at the Mine Gatehouse, on his/her scheduled shift, (including any scheduled overtime shift), and for whom there is no work at his/her regular or scheduled classification will be offered at least four (4) hours’ employment at other work at his/her appropriate rate of pay, or at the Company’s option, will be paid for four (4) hours’ time at his/her regular straight time rate. This provision shall not apply when such lack of work is due to the lateness of the employee, a labour dispute, fire, flood, power shortage, mechanical or electrical breakdown, which was beyond the control of the Company.
Regular Shift. (a) The regular hours of work for other than shift workers shall be posted by each Department and shall include an intermission for meals not to exceed one (1) hour. The normal Operations and Maintenance Department schedules other than shift workers shall be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
(b) The above schedules may be modified at the discretion of the HPUC. Such modifications shall be prepared by the Department Head involved and approved by the General Manager and posted at least one (1) week in advance of the effective date. Such modifications are not intended to cause split shifts.
(c) When operating conditions make it necessary for employees to work during their normal scheduled lunch period, an alternate lunch period of equivalent time will be designated by the Supervisor. The alternate lunch period normally designated to begin not more than one (1) hour before or one (1) hour after the starting time of the regular scheduled lunch period and when so designated, time worked shall be considered as a part of the regular scheduled workday.
Regular Shift. All bargaining unit employees will be assigned to a regular shift with defined starting and quitting times, days off, and primary work location.
Regular Shift. All bargaining unit Ambassadors will be assigned to a regular shift with defined starting and quitting times, days off, and primary work location.
Regular Shift. Regular Shift. There shall not be more than five (5) shifts in the non-operat- ing district, each of eight and one-half (8 1/2) hours including a one-half (1/2) hour unpaid meal relief. The three (3) basic shifts shall be established from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m. to 12 midnight, and 11:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Up to one hour variance shall be allowed on the basic shifts. The Authority shall post as soon as possible a list of employees having their established shifts. These shift hours may not be changed during the life of this Agreement except upon at least one (1) week’s notice. In addition, the Authority may establish two (2) additional shifts of varying hours in Bus Maintenance. These two addi- tional shifts shall be subject to change only at the time of regu- lar scheduled picks.
