A Chief or Senior ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ may assist in the processing of the first grievance when the original ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of record is new or inexperienced. This assistance includes accompanying the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ of record to any meetings or interviews related to the grievance, without any loss in pay.
A Chief. Engineer promoted from the bargaining unit shall continue to accumulate seniority in the bargaining unit while holding such supervisory positions.
A Chief. Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be selected by the Union (whenever there is more than one shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇), and will be recognized by the Company. An allowance of time during working hours will be provided for the discussion of submitted grievances. When the Company finds it necessary to layoff or discharge a shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, the Union shall be notified prior to such layoff or discharge. In the case of layoff, the Company agrees to give four (4) hours' notice to the Union.
A Chief. Job ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ will be implemented upon mutual agreement of the union and the Employer.
A Chief. Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ and one (1) Shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ from each Department shall be appointed by the Union from among its members employed by the Company.
A Chief. Elected or Administrative Official who appoints a designee and/or alternative designee shall submit the name of the designee and/ or alternative designee in writing, on his/her official letterhead, to the Consortium Board. Designees serve at the pleasure of the Chief Elected or Administrative Official appointing them. Designees shall have the same powers and duties to act, on behalf of the appointing official, as provided for in this Agreement except the Designee shall not have the authority to execute any agreement or document on behalf of their respective local unit of government or execute this Consortium Agreement on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer.
