ARTICLE SHIFT PREMIUM. (The following clause will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provision related to Shift Premium that existed in the Hospital's expiring collective agreement:) An employee shall be paid a shift premium of one dollar per hour for each hour worked which falls within the normal hours of the evening shift and one dollar and twenty-five ($1.25) cents for each hour worked which within the normal hours of the night shift provided that such hours exceed two (2) hours if worked in conjunction with the day shift. For purposes of this provision, the normal or standard evening and night shift each consist of hours. For those hospitals with lesser required hours as provided for in Article the length of the evening and night shift will be adjusted accordingly. Shift premium not form part of the employee's straight time hourly rate. (The following clause will appear in all collective agreements:) An employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar and thirty-five cents ($1.35) per hour for each hour worked between hours Friday to hours Sunday or such other hour period that the Hospital may establish. If an employee is in receipt of premium payment pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, he will not receive weekend premium under this provision.
ARTICLE SHIFT PREMIUM. (a) Effective September a shift premium of (48) cents will be paid to all employees for all hours worked after hours on a shift other than a regular day shift. For purposes of this Agreement, it is understood a regular day shift is one which starts before hours. ARTICLE SHIFT PREMIUM. Employees whose normal hours of work commence between the hours of twelve (12) noon and two (2) a.m. shall receive a shift premium of one (1) dollar per hour for the full shift effective April Effective October employees whose normal hours of work commence between the hours of twelve (12) noon and four (4) a.m. shall receive a shift premium of one dollar fifteen cents (1 5) per hour for the full shift.
ARTICLE SHIFT PREMIUM. An employee will be paid a shift premium of per hour for each hour worked when the majority of such hours fails within and hours, the following day.
ARTICLE SHIFT PREMIUM. Effective the first of the month following the date of ratification, employees whose regularly assigned shifts commence between hours and hours, will receive a shift premium of fifty (50) cents per hour for all hours worked. Overtime shall not be calculated on a shift premium.

ARTICLE SHIFT PREMIUM. In the event that the Employer implements a system of shifts, the parties meet for the purpose of negotiating a suitable shift premium. Should the parties be unable to agree on !he amount of the shift premium, the matter may be referred by either party to arbitration forfinal determination. ARTICLE STANDBY the Employer requires an employee to be available on standby during off-duty hours, the employee shall have the maintenance vehicle and the pager and shall be compensated at the rate of fourteen ($14.00) per day or eighteen dollars ($18.00) per day for Saturdays, Sundays and Mere the employee on standby is required to check Ernployeroperated buildings during a period of standby, the employee will be eligible for (2) hours of pay at the applicable overtime rate. In designating employees for standby. the Employer endeavour to provide for the equitable distribution of standby duties among readily available qualified employees who are normally required, in their regular duties, to perform that work.
