ARTICLE   SHIFT PREMIUM. (The following clause will appear in all collective agreements replacing any provision related to Shift Premium that existed in the Hospital's expiring collective agreement:) An employee shall be paid a shift premium of one dollar per hour for each hour worked which falls within the normal hours of the evening shift and one dollar and twenty-five ($1.25) cents for each hour worked which within the normal hours of the night shift provided that such hours exceed two (2) hours if worked in conjunction with the day shift. For purposes of this provision, the normal or standard evening and night shift each consist of hours. For those hospitals with lesser required hours as provided for in Article the length of the evening and night shift will be adjusted accordingly. Shift premium not form part of the employee's straight time hourly rate. (The following clause will appear in all collective agreements:) An employee shall be paid a weekend premium of one dollar and thirty-five cents ($1.35) per hour for each hour worked between hours Friday to hours Sunday or such other hour period that the Hospital may establish. If an employee is in receipt of premium payment pursuant to a local scheduling regulation with respect to consecutive weekends worked, he will not receive weekend premium under this provision.
