Additional Hours Worked. Additional Hours worked are hours where the employee is required to work outside of their Standard Ordinary Hours of engagement. Remuneration for such hours will be made as per Clauses 4.3 & 4.4, dependant on the employee’s work group class being INDOOR or OUTDOOR.

Additional Hours Worked. 53.1 All hours worked outside of the prescribed hours or in excess of (8) eight hours on any ordinary working day Monday to Friday, excepting hours worked on the duty roster, recall or on emergency call out, shall be taken as time in lieu of receiving overtime rates. The time in lieu bank for any employee shall not exceed 40 hours under any circumstances. Once the time in lieu balance reaches 40 hours, any additional time worked shall be paid at the appropriate overtime rate prescribed in the Scheduled Award. An employee will not unreasonably refuse to take time in lieu leave owing to them.

Additional Hours Worked. All Parole Officers - Parole employees and Board of Pardons and Paroles employees, shall continue to receive compensatory time off and compensatory overtime pay for authorized hours worked in excess of the applicable work week according to the following; Parole Officers may accrue compensatory hours for overtime hours up to a limit of four hundred eighty (480) hours, after which said employee(s) shall be paid time and one-half (1 1/2) for any overtime hours worked. Compensatory Time shall be earned at a rate of one and one-half (1 1/12) hours for each hour of employment for which overtime compensation is required. Employees may use Compensatory Time with advanced notice and approval on the date requested unless doing so would unduly disrupt the operations of the State such that it would impose an unreasonable burden on its ability to provide services of acceptable quality and quantity for the public. Overtime Compensation may be paid in cash as the State’s option, in lieu of providing compensatory time off, in any workweek or work period. In such instances, cash overtime compensation shall be paid at a rate of one and one-half (1 1/12) the rate the employee is actually paid per hour. Any employee who has a Compensatory Time accrual balance of four hundred eighty (480) hours shall receive any additional overtime earned as Overtime Compensation which shall be paid in cash, at a rate of one and one-half (1 1/12) the rate the employee is actually paid per hour. Paid leave (sick, vacation, holiday, etc.) shall be considered time worked for purposes of calculating Compensatory Time and Overtime Compensation.

Additional Hours Worked. 1. Employees covered by this Agreement who work between thirty-five (35) and forty (40) hours during a normal work week, with prior Employer approval, shall be entitled compensation at his/her regular hourly rate for any such time actually worked, in compliance with federal law. All current employees will have the option of continuing either the current flex time program or receive a fifth (5th) personal day as outlined in Article 13.A. Once opted-out of the flex time program, an employee cannot re-enter the program. Employees must notify the Employer of their choice within ten (10) working days of ratification of this agreement. Employees who qualify for the flex time program may opt out of the program within the first two (2) full weeks of the calendar year. Employees hired after ratification of this agreement do not qualify for the flex time program.
