Night Shift Premium definition

Night Shift Premium means cash paid by Delphi for the shift premium, pursuant to the applicable collective bargaining agreement, to hourly employees for the time period included in calculating the Labor Cost Amount, for working on specified shifts.
Night Shift Premium. Any employee who worked on any shift commencing after l:00p.m. will be paid a shift premium of forty-five (45) cents per hour effective September 1, 1999. Any employee who works on any shift commencing after 10:00p.m. will be paid a night shift premium of fifty-five (55) cents per hour effective September 1,1999. Effective September 1,2000, any employee who works a shift commencing after 10:00p.m. will be paid a night shift premium of sixty (60) cents per hour.

Section 1.149 “Option Designee” shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in section 4.06(a) hereof. Section 1.150 “Original Agreements” shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in the Recitals of this Agreement. Section 1.151 “Original Restructuring Agreement” shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in the Recitals of this Agreement. Section 1.152 “Outstanding GM Purchase Order” shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in section 3.01(a) of this Agreement. Section 1.153 “Overtime Premium” shall mean cash paid by Delphi for the overtime premium, pursuant to the applicable collective bargaining agreement, to hourly employees for the time period included in calculating the Labor Cost Amount. Section 1.154 “Paid Pre-Effective Date Subsidy” shall have the meaning ascribed to such term in section 4.01(b)(i) of this Agreement. Section 1.155 “Party” or “Parties” shall have the meanings ascribed to such terms in the Preamble of this Agreement. Section 1.156 “PAYGO Health Care” shall mean health care accrual expenses related to Delphi’s applicable collective bargaining agreements, during the time period included in calculating the Labor Cost Amount for hourly employees. Examples of Night Shift Premium in a sentence

  • Night Shift Premium is paid at straight time for scheduled hours of work on the premium paid days of Saturday, Sunday and Holidays and at the rate of time and one-half for overtime hours worked on these days.

  • Night Shift Premium for afternoon or night shifts is paid at the overtime rate of time and one-half for all time worked in excess of eight (8) hours in a twenty-four (24) hour period (Clause 8 (a)), or forty (40) hours in a week, and for hours worked on a scheduled day off.
