Staff Development Plan. The Grantee ensured staff met specific qualifications for the SNAP-Ed functions and commits to ongoing training to develop and enhance staff capacity. The Grantee must maintain adequate personnel documentation in accordance with standard human resources best practices. The Grantee will submit a Staff Development Plan within thirty (30) business days after effective date of the contract. The plan ensures that training and continuing education opportunities for SNAP-Ed staff that will lead to expanded professional capacity and in-depth expertise. On-going plan updates and changes shall be submitted to HHSC by the Grantee for approval at least thirty (30) business days before a change becomes effective. Grantee trains staff and ensures they are competent to provide services and determine the appropriate number of training hours required for each staff person to meet the minimum requirements of competency. Staff Development Plan. A. The most important influence the school can contribute to the learning of any student is the attitude, skills, knowledge, and understanding of the teacher. In this regard, the district may determine opportunities for professional development, which will enhance the learning environment for students and provide for increased competence for teachers.
Staff Development Plan. It is the intention of the Council to ensure that all staff receive during working periods sufficient training to satisfy the requirements of the Food Safety Act 1990 Code of Practice. To ensure this all staff as appropriate employed on food safety inspections will receive a minimum of 10 hours core training per year. This will be by way of formal courses and in house seminars. Such training will be recorded on officer training records. For staff who are not currently employed on food safety inspections a programme of update training will be produced. This ensures that all relevant officers are capable of inspecting low and very low risk premises. The programme will be further developed to ensure that with a short period of refresher training they are able to undertake full inspections should this be deemed necessary. This will allow for flexible use of staff within the Service for food safety work if necessary.

As part of the scheme, officers formally discuss and agree individual performance targets and training/personal development plans with their line manager every 12 months. Progress with the plan is reviewed periodically so any issues can be raised and addressed.
