Training Events. 1. Training events When the employer provides vocational training to salaried employees or when salaried employees are sent by the employer for training events with a view to improving their vocational skills, the directly associated costs of the training and travelling expenses excluding compensation for travelling time shall be defrayed in the manner stipulated in section 22 hereof. The compensation referred to in the preceding paragraph shall also be paid to a salaried employee participating in the joint training event referred to in section 5 of the Cooperation Agreement if the purpose of the event is found locally to be the promotion of the employee’s vocational abilities. Notwithstanding section 6 of the collective agreement and the contract of employment and in addition to the provisions laid down in them, the employer may assign to salaried employees, during a calendar year, up to 8 hours of training organised by the employer outside the schedule of working hours, with such training aimed at developing or maintaining the vocational skills of the salaried employee. The time spent in such training is considered regular working hours, for which compensation at the basic rate is paid in addition to the monthly salary. Such training may take place on a single day. The need for the training as well as its contents and schedule shall be discussed with the salaried employee well in advance before organising it, while taking into account the salaried employee’s individual needs related to working time. Such training may not be scheduled for public holidays. If a training event is arranged at a time, for example, requiring an employee working the night shift to attend during time off, then the said employee shall either be paid compensation for the said attendance time at the basic rate or granted corresponding time off in lieu. No reduction in salary shall occur if the event takes place during the salaried employee’s regular working hours. The parties note that if the foregoing training event occurs on the employee’s day off, then the attendance compensation criteria shall be agreed locally as necessary. Care shall be taken when arranging training events to ensure that the employees concerned are granted a daily rest period of sufficient length.

In addition to emergency fire suppression work, the City shall provide the Ladder Truck with two qualified employees at one two-hour training event within the District during each calendar year. The Ladder Truck and the two employees shall be available to the District for the training event at no cost.
Training Events. If a salaried employee participates in a training event under the instructions of the employer for the purpose developing professional skills, travel allowances are paid in accordance with the provisions of section 24 of the collective agreement. Allowances under the previous paragraph are also paid to a salaried employee attending a joint training event in accordance with paragraph 5.2 of the cooperation agreement, provided that the purpose of the event has been locally acknowledged to promote the professional capacity of the salaried employee . If a training event is held at a time requiring, for example, a salaried employee working on a night shift to attend the event during their time-off, the employee is entitled to compensation based on the basic salary must be paid or compensatory leave. Therefore, if participation in a training event takes place during the regular working hours of a salaried employee their salary may not be reduced. No salary is paid for the travel time related to training events referred to in this section. If participation in the above training events takes place during the salaried employee's time off, the parties note that the grounds for compensation are to be agreed locally as necessary. When organising training events, it must be ensured that a sufficiently long daily rest for the salaried employees attending the event is allowed. COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT FOR SALARIED EMPLOYEES

Training Events. The WC manager will attend and participate in all Welcome Center Manager's Meetings, Welcome Center promotional programs, and the annual Colorado Governor's Tourism Conference unless prior notice is provided and agreed upon. The WC manager will provide training to all new travel counselors. This training program and material will be provided by the CTO and includes an overview of all official state travel resources including the Official State Vacation Guide, xxx.Xxxxxxxx.xxx, and the Official State Map. The WC Manager will hold at least six meetings per year for the volunteer travel counselors, presenting CTO updates and offering opportunities to the travel industry to make presentations to the travel counselors. Twice a year, the WC Manager will host an informational study tour for travel counselors, visiting a designated travel region. The number and duration of study tours may vary at the discretion of the CWC Manager and the CWC Director.
Training Events. Agency represents and warrants that all attendees, participants, students, observers, instructors and any other persons brought to the STC Facilities by the Agency (“Agency Invitees”) are qualified to participate in the Training Events, and use of the STC Facilities. The City retains the discretion to terminate this Agreement and requires all Agency Invitees to immediately vacate the STC Facilities if the Training Events or anyone’s participation in the Training Events poses any kind of threat or liability to the City, the public, Agency Invitees or anyone else. Agency Invitees shall not be considered an employee or agent of City for any purpose related to the Training Events.

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.

  • Accidents and Dangerous Occurrences The Hirer must report all accidents involving injury to the public to a member of the Village Hall management committee as soon as possible and complete the relevant section in the Village Hall’s accident book. Any failure of equipment belonging to the Village Hall or brought in by the Hirer must also be reported as soon as possible. Certain types of accident or injury must be reported on a special form to the local authority. The Hall Secretary will give assistance in completing this form. This is in accordance with the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR).

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.

  • Events If either Party hereto is at any time either during this Agreement or thereafter prevented or delayed in complying with any provisions of this Agreement by reason of strikes, walk-outs, labour shortages, power shortages, fires, wars, acts of God, earthquakes, storms, floods, explosions, accidents, protests or demonstrations by environmental lobbyists or native rights groups, delays in transportation, breakdown of machinery, inability to obtain necessary materials in the open market, unavailability of equipment, governmental regulations restricting normal operations, shipping delays or any other reason or reasons beyond the control of that Party, then the time limited for the performance by that Party of its respective obligations hereunder shall be extended by a period of time equal in length to the period of each such prevention or delay.
