The Company shall pay such an employee the difference between normal earnings and the payment received for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for travelling, meals, or other expenses. The employee will present proof of service and proof of the amount received, satisfactory to the Company.

Jury or Witness. An Employee who has attained seniority shall be granted leave of absence without loss of regular rate of pay, for the normally scheduled number of hours the employee would have otherwise worked for the purpose of serving jury duty, or a material witness subpoenaed to an appearance in court. The Employee will be required to provide the Company with a copy of a report from the Court Officials indicating their attendance. The Employee shall reimburse the Company the full amount of witness fees received by the employee excluding mileage and meal allowance.

A full time employee who is called for jury duty or who is subpoenaed to appear in court as a crown witness will receive for each day of necessary absence on that account the difference between his regular earnings for that day and the amount of the fee received from the court, provided that the employee furnishes the Company with evidence of service.
