Report for Work. Nurses who report for work as scheduled, including mandatory meetings or training (unless otherwise notified in advance), and are released from duty by the Employer because of low census or meeting cancellation, shall receive four (4) hours work or four (4) hours pay at the regular rate of pay or their scheduled shift pay, whichever is less. This commitment shall not apply when the Employer has made a good faith effort to notify the employee in advance of shift cancellation at least one (1) hour in advance of the scheduled day shift or one and one-half (1 1/2) hours in advance of the scheduled evening or night shift. It shall be the responsibility of the nurse to notify the Swedish Medical Center of the employee’s current address and telephone number. This section shall not apply to optional continuing education, committee meetings, staff meetings or to time spent on standby, or callback assignments

Report for Work. Employees requested to report for work when a College or other facility is closed under this provision, for emergency reasons such as snow removal, heating system repair, etc., during such condition shall be compensated at two (2) times their regular hourly rate of pay.

Report for Work. (505) Failure to report for work at the start of any shift by one or more Employees scheduled to work shall in no way prevent or delay the make-ready, scheduled start-up, or operation of the presses. It shall be at the sole discretion of the Foreperson as to whether a replacement is required. An Employee who reports late and who has not been replaced at the discretion of the Employer shall be retained for the balance of the shift if reports to work within one hour of the scheduled start of the shift. An Employee who reports to work later than one hour following the scheduled start of the shift may be retained for the balance of the shift or sent home at the sole discretion of the Foreperson. In either event, an Employee who reports late and who is not sent home shall only be paid for time actually worked Local Agreement and shall not be paid overtime without having worked the normal straight-time hours of the shift.
