Leave of Absence Without. Pay In instances where the work will not be seriously handicapped by the temporary absence of an employee, the Department Head, subject to approval of the City Manager, may grant a leave of absence without pay not to exceed ninety (90) calendar days. Requests for such leave must be in writing and must establish reasonable justification for approval of the request. Normally such leave will not be approved for any employee who is accepting employment outside the City service.

Leave of Absence Without. PAY - All paid leave must be exhausted prior to being granted leave without pay unless the employee is concurrently on a Family Care and Medical Leave or has reached the threshold for LTD eligibility. All paid leave must be exhausted prior to an employee being able to use catastrophic illness leave donations. Employees will not receive additional leave accruals while using catastrophic illness leave donations.

Leave of Absence Without. The Director of Education or designate may grant a leave of absence without salary or loss of seniority, and with the right to retain benefits, for a period of up to one (1) year. Requests for leave shall be made in writing to the Director or designate. Such leave shall not unreasonably be withheld.
Leave of Absence Without. Employees who desire leave of absence without pay shall make application to the Personnel Commissioner through the Director of Administration, Health Department.
Leave of Absence Without. The Company, in its sole discretion, may grant a leave of absence without pay for personal emergencies or for important family reasons. An employee requesting such a leave of absence must provide as much notice as possible to the immediate Supervisor, clearly stating in writing the reasons for the request and the proposed duration.

The employee shall be restored to the employee's former position or to a similar position at the then prevailing wage rate at the expiration of the leave of absence. The employee will not be eligible for any benefits provided for in this agreement for any type of leave without pay. Benefits listed in Article may be continued at the request of the employee. The employee will be responsible for both the employee and Employer share of the premiums.
Leave of Absence Without. When an employee is unable to perform his duties or any available work due to illness or injury and has no earned sick leave to his credit, the Corporation, at its discretion, may grant leave of absence without ay. The total period of such sick leave whether paid or unpaid shall not three (3) years.
