Nursing Practice Committee. The Union shall have one (1) representative elected or appointed to the Nursing Practice Committee. This Committee shall carry out the duties and responsibilities as per Article 9.02 of the central collective agreement.

Nursing Practice Committee. The parties agree to establish and maintain a 25 Nursing Practice Committee. The Committee shall consist of three Association members and three 26 representatives of the Department. The Association shall designate the Committee chair. The 27 purpose of the Committee shall be to develop recommendations to the Executive Conference 28 Committee and the Department on issues of nursing practice and client care. The Committee shall 1 meet during the month prior to the scheduled Executive Conference Committee meeting. The 2 Nursing Practice Committee Report shall be a standing agenda item for the Executive Conference 3 Committee.
Nursing Practice Committee. The Nursing Practice Committee will consist of two management personnel and two bargaining unit personnel. If necessary the Nursing Practice Committee may meet quarterly. An agenda shall be prepared prior to each meeting by the Committee. The Employer agrees to provide up to one and one-half hours on-duty time on a quarterly basis if needed for the Nursing Practice Committee meetings. Those matters reviewed by the Committee and any recommendations coming out of the Committee are advisory only and are not subject to the grievance procedure.
Nursing Practice Committee. 11 A. Nursing Practice Committee may, at the request of the Association, be established within 12 the Seattle-King County Department of Public Health. The purpose of this Committee is to discuss 13 possible methods and means to enhance nursing practice and patient care. The Committee is an 14 appropriate forum to discuss definition of levels of practice. The Committee shall be composed of two 15 (2) supervisory employees covered by this Agreement, five (5) non-supervisory employees covered by 16 the Washington State Nurses Association Staff Nurses Agreement who shall be appointed by each of 17 the Association’s Local Units, and two (2) representatives of the Department Head, preferably the 18 Chief of Nursing Services and a District Administrator. The Nursing Practice Committee shall meet 19 monthly. Each Committee member shall be entitled to all paid hours for the purpose of attending the 20 monthly meeting, and when necessary, not more than one paid hour for preparation for same each 21 month. Such meetings shall be scheduled in advance and so as to minimize conflict with regularly
Nursing Practice Committee. The Hospital and the Association endorse the principle of collaboration in the implementation of an efficient care delivery system. To this end, a Nursing Practice Committee will be established and will have one elected representative from each unit. Two nurses, one of whom shall be the Local Unit Chairperson or other specifically designated Local Unit Officer and one of whom shall be elected by members of the Association in the bargaining unit, may serve on both the Nursing Practice Committee and the Conference Committee concurrently. Elected representatives will serve a two year term which shall be staggered among representatives to insure the Nurse Practice Committee retains some experienced committee members. Nursing Practice Committee. A Nursing Practice Committee will be instituted and maintained. The Nursing Practice Committee shall be advisory and shall not affect the decision-making authority of the Employer concerning its administration and supervision of nursing practices. Such Committee shall be composed of six (6) registered nurses to be elected by the staff nurses, with one (1) representative from all clinical divisions, and six (6) representatives from management appointed by the Vice President of Patient Services. The purpose of this Committee shall be to discuss the quality of nursing practices, care of patients, and the role of the registered nurse in regard to the professional practice of nursing as prescribed by the Washington State Nurse Practice Act. The Committee shall prepare an agenda of topics to be discussed prior to the meeting and keep minutes of all meetings. Copies of the minutes approved by the Vice President of Patient Services and the Chairperson shall be distributed to each member of the Committee and to each cost center. The Committee shall meet quarterly. Special meetings may be called upon mutual agreement. Nurses shall be compensated at the regular rate of pay or be given paid release time for all time spent on the Nursing Practice Committee when they are members of the Committee and attend committee meetings.

Nursing Practice Committee. A Nursing Practice Committee (NPC) shall be maintained and meet at least six (6) times a year. The purpose of this Committee is to discuss and improve nursing practice. Organizational aspects of the Committee shall be determined by the Committee. Each committee member shall be paid regular wages for time spent attending the NPC. This committee shall be advisory to the Nursing Administration and will not discuss matters subject to collective bargaining.
Nursing Practice Committee. The Nursing Practice Committee shall consist of two members of management, including the Chief Nursing Officer (or his/her designee), and two members of the Union, including the Local President (or his/her designee). Upon written request by either party to hold a meeting, the Committee shall meet no more than once per month to review issues concerning health and safety, the needs of the nursing staff, nursing practice and patient care. Meetings shall be held at mutually agreeable times and shall not exceed two hours. Upon written request by either party, a specified period of time within each meeting will be designated to discuss health and safety issues. The parties shall create and agree upon an agenda at least one week before the scheduled date of the meeting. Recommendations of the Committee to the Hospital shall be considered and responded to at the following meeting. The Hospital shall retain discretion to determine whether to act upon and/or implement such recommendations. Any notes or minutes taken by any attendee at a meeting of the Committee shall not be posted or otherwise published until both parties have reviewed such notes or minutes and attested to their accuracy by initialing same. Upon approval by the Committee, minutes from the Committee meeting will be maintained in a binder accessible to all staff on all shifts. Employee members of the Committee shall be paid their straight time hourly rate for all time spent at scheduled Committee meetings. Matters implemented at the recommendation of the committee not referenced in this contract shall not be subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.
