Nurse, Local Unit Officer and Immediate Supervisor. ‌ If a nurse has a grievance involving an alleged breach of contract on the part of the Hospital, the nurse shall reduce the grievance to writing. The nurse and a Local Unit Officer will present the written grievance to the nurse’s immediate supervisor. In order that the grievance be timely, the written grievance must be sent, via hand delivery, email with read receipt, or certified mail/return receipt to the supervisor within twenty-one (21) calendar days of the date that the grievant either knew or should have known that facts existed which constitute the basis for the grievance. The written grievance shall contain a description of the alleged problem, the specific section of the contract that has been allegedly breached, the date it occurred and the corrective action the grievant is requesting. The immediate supervisor shall respond in writing to the grievance within fourteen (14) calendar days of receipt thereof.

  • Level Three - Superintendent Within ten (10) days of receipt of the decision rendered by the Executive Director of Human Resources, any party in interest may appeal the Director’s decision to the Superintendent, or designee, on forms provided by the School District and the Association. The appeal shall include a copy of the decisions of Level One and Level Two and the grounds for regarding the decision as incorrect. Within ten (10) days after receipt of the appeal, the Superintendent, or designee, shall communicate the decision in writing to all parties in interest.
