VACATIONS VACATION PAY. (a) Commencing with the vacation schedule of May 7th, 1987, employees having less than one (1) year of service on May 1st in any year, shall be entitled upon the completion of their probationary period, to a credit of one (1) day vacation with pay for each month of service, to a maximum of ten (10) working days vacation with pay at the rate of four percent (4%) of their gross earnings.

In the event an service with the Board is terminated before he has taken his vacation, he shall be paid in lieu thereof: in the case of an employee with less than one year of continuous service with the Board, a sum equal to of his earnings from the previous June 30th; in the case of an employee qualified for two vacation, a sum equal to of his earnings from the previous June 30th; in the case of an employee qualified for three vacation, a sum equal to of his earnings from the previous June 30th; in the case of an employee qualified for four a sum equal to of his earnings from the previous June 30th; in the case of an employee qualified €or five weeks vacation, a sum equal to of his earnings from the previous June 30th. in the case of an employee qualified for additional vacation, an additional sum of for each year of service in excess of years of his earnings from the previous June to a maximum of employee shall be entitled to an extra vacation with pay for any holiday as defined in which falls within his vacation. Vacations will not be cumulative from year to year. Furthermore, an employee will not be permitted to forego the vacation to which he is entitled. Vacation schedules shall be posted by May 1st each year and shall not be changed unless mutually agreed to by the employee and the Board. For the purposes of computing qualifications for vacation with pay, the service rendered by an employee with a predecessor Board shall be counted. Xxxx leave may be substituted for vacation where an employee can substantiate by means of a medical certificate that he or she was incapacitated in excess of seven (7) calendar days, during his or her vacation period. VACATIONS VACATION PAY. 11.01 (i) A Full Time Employee shall be entitled to vacation with pay based on time worked as follows: Upon Completion of Weeks plus Days 3 years 2 3 5 years 3 7 years 3 1 9 years 3 2 10 years 4 11 years 4 1 15 years 4 3 20 years 5 The amount of pay for such vacation shall be not less than an amount equal to four per cent (4%) of the wages of the Employee in the twelve (12) months of employment for which the vacation is given and in calculating wages no account shall be taken of any vacation pay previously paid.
