Inclement Weather Days. Employees shall not report to work when schools are closed for inclement weather. In an emergency situation (e.g. Board packet day) when an inclement weather closing occurs, an employee(s) may be called in to work if there is a supervisor present in the work location. Said employee(s) shall receive compensatory time off for the time worked.

Inclement Weather Days. Whenever a site served by the Agency is closed because of inclement weather or emergency situations, unit members who are scheduled to work that day, but because site is closed are unable to do so, shall be paid for the first day of the closure at full pay of their normal work assignment for that day. The Agency shall make reasonable attempts to provide affected employees temporary work locations until the site reopens.
Inclement Weather Days. If school must be canceled due to inclement weather or loss of heat or electricity, the day may need to be rescheduled. Any day of pupil instruction that needs to be rescheduled by the Board to ensure that the minimum number of days/hours are met in order to qualify for state aid or to meet mandated instructional time requirements imposed by the State Board of Education, shall not be a paid day of instruction.

Inclement Weather Days. A Bargaining Unit Member who does not report for work due to inclement weather conditions will have the privilege of charging such leave of absence to a personal day or vacation leave, if such days have not been used previously. If used previously, the member not so reporting to duty will be reduced in pay for such day or days when the College has not closed.

Inclement Weather Days. Section 9.1 The Board shall have the right to reschedule all scheduled days and hours of student instruction which are not held because of conditions not within the control of school authorities, such as severe storms, fire, epidemics, utility power unavailability, water or sewer failure, or health conditions (as defined by city, county, or state health authorities) as well as to ensure the amount of student instruction as prescribed by Michigan law and no loss of state aid. Employees shall be excused from reporting for school on those days and hours which are cancelled due to the above conditions. The parties agree that this contract provision has been negotiated to comply with the provisions of the Revised School Code and State School Aid Act and to ensure that the District will incur no loss of state aid. Further, the parties recognize the District's obligation to comply with legal requirements respecting the number of "student instruction" days and hours. Days and hours of instruction which are required to be rescheduled shall, absent other agreement between the Board and the Association, be rescheduled at the conclusion of the school year as set forth in Schedule C of this Agreement.
