Work on a Saturday shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 ½) times the employee’s regular hourly rate of pay and work on a Sunday shall be paid at the rate of two (2) times the employee’s regular hourly rate regardless of their hours worked in the week. The Employer reserves the right to deny Saturday, Sunday and holiday overtime to any employee who was absent from work during the week.
Work on a statutory shall be voluntary and offered in order of depot seniority. If there are insufficient volunteers work on the holiday shall be assigned in reverse seniority subject to the operational impact and management relieving the employee from this obligation in the event of compelling personal circumstances.

Where a public holiday falls on the weekend and a substituted public holiday applies, employees will only be paid overtime rates on the substituted public holiday. Employees may choose to take an ordinary day's pay at 1.5x the ordinary hourly rate and one day of time in lieu of work instead of 2.5x the ordinary hourly rate for working a gazetted public holiday subject to work schedules and the operational requirements of the Company.
