Custodial/Maintenance Employees. All full-time fifty-two (52) week custodial/maintenance employees who have completed their probationary period will be paid at their regular rate of pay if they work (or if they are on a scheduled vacation day) the last regularly scheduled work day preceding the holiday and the first regularly scheduled work day after the holiday. These employees then qualify for the following paid holidays. Five or eight-hour utility cleaners shall be paid for Christmas Day only. Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Friday after Thanksgiving Day* Christmas and one other day** New Year’s Day and one other day** Memorial Day Good Friday (when scheduled on school calendar) *This day may vary depending on the activities and custodial needs at each school. **If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the Friday preceding will be the designated holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be the designated holiday.

Custodial/Maintenance Employees. Each employee shall contribute the following towards the cost of VSPII: * Single Subscriber: .82 per month x 12 months * Two Person: $1.76 per month x 12 months * Full Family: $2.64 per month x 12 months The Employer agrees to contribute the remaining balance towards the cost of VSPII. The employees shall contribute the sum of ten percent (10%) per month for the 2011-2012 instructional year. In 2012-2013 it shall be 15% per month and in 2013-2014 it shall be 20% per month each employee shall contribute towards the total cost of the health insurance of their health care coverage. This amount shall be payroll deducted. The extent of benefits are, of course, based on each individual position, as specified in the contract. The Employer shall not pay premium contributions toward coverage which is statutorily prohibited or could result in a penalty to the school district.

Twice per year, each custodian and maintenance employee may elect to receive a laundering payment of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) remitted on their regular paycheck and deducted from the $200 uniform allowance. In addition to the above, maintenance and custodial employees who are required to wear uniforms and are assigned to work outdoors on a regular basis shall annually receive their preference of an insulated jacket, insulated coveralls, boots, or lined wind/rain wear, as well as gloves and hats.

In addition to the annual $400 stipend above, maintenance and custodial employees who are required to wear uniforms, are assigned to work outdoors on a regular basis, and are within the first five years of employment shall annually receive their preference of an insulated jacket, insulated coveralls, boots, or lined wind/rain wear, as well as gloves and hats. Custodians may also choose to purchase their own winter boots, and the district shall reimburse the employee for up to $200.00 on an annual basis. Custodial and maintenance employees in their 6th year of employment (or longer) are eligible for the uniform/boot allowance biennially (once every two years). Each year, two representatives from custodians/maintenance workers shall meet with the Business Office Manager or their designee to review and choose options for outdoor items.
