Pay for Sick Leave. 1. Employees hired on or before June 30, 2011 shall be entitled to receive pay for accumulated sick leave upon retirement, resignation, or death as follows:
Pay for Sick Leave. Pay for any day of such absence shall be the same as the pay which would have been received had the unit member served during the day of illness.

Pay for Sick Leave. After five (5) years, if an employee retires, the Board will pay 50% of the daily rate for accumulated sick days up to a maximum of two thousand dollars ($2,000). After ten (10) years, if an employee retires, the Board will pay 50% of the daily rate for accumulated sick days up to a maximum of four thousand dollars ($4,000). Upon retirement, the employee can take the payment for unused sick leave and the retirement benefit. After five (5) years, if an employee terminates their employment, the Board will pay thirty dollars ($30.00) per sick day accumulated to a maximum of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00). After ten (10) years, if an employee terminates their employment, the Board will pay thirty dollars ($30.00) per sick day accumulated to a maximum of two thousand three hundred dollars ($2,300.00).
Pay for Sick Leave. After eighteen (18) years in the district, employees who retire to collect a pension under P.E.R.S. within one year shall be paid one-half their daily pay for up to sixty (60) accumulated days (i.e. a maximum payment of thirty (30) days pay) and quarter pay (1/4) for the next thirty (30) days of unused accumulated sick leave (i.e. an additional maximum of 7.5 days pay). The total available is 37.5 days.

Pay for Sick Leave. 15.3(a) Unused sick leave up to a maximum of ten (10) work days will be accumulated for all employees. When an employee has accumulated a credit in excess of ten (10) work days, he/she shall be paid an amount equal to his/her unused sick leave in excess of ten (10) work days on his/her anniversary date.
Pay for Sick Leave. Pay for sick leave is for the sole and only purpose of protecting full-time employees against loss of income and will be granted to full-time employees as hereinafter provided for.
Pay for Sick Leave. Full-time employees shall receive 15 paid sick days for working a full work year. Employees hired on or before November 1, 1992, will continue to receive 17 paid sick days per year. Permanent employees will be credited with their sick days on July 1. Employees who work less than full-time will receive a pro-rata portion of this amount based on the number of days worked. Clerical workers who are not in active service at the beginning of the work year (July 1st) and who are on an approved unpaid leave or who are on a paid leave through the sick leave bank will be credited with pro-rated sick days upon return to work from such leave. Full time employees hired on or before November 1, 1992, who are on the "half day" schedule utilize paid sick leave on the basis of days taken, regardless of scheduled hours of work on the day taken. Each sick day used shall be considered as one day of leave.
