Part-Time Officers. An officer who is employed on a part time basis shall be paid a proportion of the applicable District Allowance payable in accordance with the following formula: Hours Worked Per Fortnight X Applicable District Allowance Full-time Hours Per Fortnight 1
Part-Time Officers. Part‐time officers are those officers who regularly work less than thirty‐five (35) hours per week for the Town of Auburn Police Department. Part‐time officers must adhere to the rules of the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Council and the New Hampshire Retirement System, if applicable, with respect to the total number of hours worked. If a part‐time officer works for more than one law enforcement agency, it is the responsibility of the employee to notify the Chief of Police if he/she has reached the maximum permissible hours allowed under the standards of the NH Police Standards and Training Council or the New Hampshire Retirement System and is unavailable for further duty during the calendar year. Any and all duty or pay hours including scheduled patrols, details, DWI road blocks, use of any paid time off, etc. will be counted for purposes of determining hours worked. It is understood that a part‐time officer may occasionally work more than 35 hours per week without being reclassified as a full‐time employee for purposes of benefit eligibility with the Town of Auburn. Officers who work less than sixteen (16) patrol hours per month for three (3) consecutive months, unless excused by the Chief or designee, shall be considered irregular employees and shall not be covered by this Agreement.
Part-Time Officers. The Village will not use part time officers to fill shift minimums as outlined in GO 41-1 or to avoid the payment of overtime as outlined in GO 22.3. Upon direction of the Chief, part-time officers may be used to increase shift strengths.
Part-Time Officers. Where there is mutual agreement between a part-time officer and their corporate leader to work hours additional to their normal contracted hours to meet short-term operational requirements, such additional hours will be paid at the ordinary rate of pay and will accrue entitlements for the purposes of leave. Overtime penalty rates will apply where the corporate leader requires the additional hours to be worked and the corporate leader and the officer do not agree to ordinary rates, and the payment of such additional hours satisfies the requirements of Clause 3.1.3.2 of the Award. Where additional temporary or permanent hours become available on an ongoing basis that do not constitute a full-time position, existing part-time employees will be given the option of applying for those hours through a merit-based selection process before the position is advertised externally. The employer retains the right to offer the position in a manner that suits operational requirements. Where it is impractical to apply these provisions due to the position requiring immediate filling, temporary employees may be engaged for a single period of up to three weeks. This clause will not preclude the involvement of part-time officers in the provisions of Clause 15 Flexible Hours. Clause 26 – Part-time and Casual Employees Increment Payment Part-time employees Part-time employees will accrue their incremental entitlements on the basis of completed calendar years of service. Casual employees Casual employees who reach 700 hours of work will progress to the next increment provided that at least twelve months has passed since their commencement (in the case of casual employees with less than one year of service) or, in the case of casual employees with more than one year of service, since they progressed from the previous increment.

Part-Time Officers. It is expressly understood and agreed that the Village policy of utilizing part- time patrol officers shall remain in effect, providing that the Village shall abide by any and all state statutes governing said utilization, and that said utilization of part-time officers shall not interfere with the covered officers' normal scheduled hours.

Part-Time Officers. A. In addition to any entitlements set forth in this Article, part-time employees are entitled to the rights set forth in this Agreement.

Par-time officers will not be assigned to an assignment that would otherwise be considered to be an overtime opportunity for a bargaining unit member unless such assignment is offered first to members of the bargaining unit. Overtime work, including hire-backs, requiring sworn officers, shall be offered initially to regular full-time officers before being offered to part-time officers.
