Overtime Work. A. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the base hourly straight-time rate for all employees in grades 18 and below. Overtime shall be paid to employees for work performed only after eight (8) hours on duty in any one service day or forty (40) hours in any one service week. Overtime pay is to be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times the base hourly straight-time rate for all employees in grades 19 and above for work performed in excess of forty (40) hours in any one service week.
Overtime Work. Overtime work is work of any type carried out outside the ordinary daytime working period and also on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on all public holidays listed in Section 2.3.1, in excess of 171.15 hours (162.5 hours in the case of office workers) each month.
Overtime Work. Where a part-time employee is required to work hours in excess of 8 hours in one day, or 40 hours in one week, the employee shall be paid 2 times their regular rate of pay for such hours worked. The provisions specified in clause 6.02.05 shall apply to part-time employees.

The foregoing notwithstanding, if Work is performed outside of normal working hours, NYSEG shall be responsible for paying all actual costs incurred in connection therewith, including, without limitation, applicable overtime costs, as part of the Reimbursable Costs, provided, that, with respect to Work to be performed by National Grid’s direct employees outside of normal working hours (“Overtime Work”), National Grid provides at least five (5) days prior written notice to NYSEG (each, an “Overtime Notice”) when National Grid schedules such Overtime Work other than at the request of NYSEG. Upon NYSEG’s written request delivered to National Grid prior to the scheduled commencement of the Overtime Work referred to in the applicable Overtime Notice (each, a “Deferral Notice”), National Grid shall defer the scheduled performance of such Overtime Work and instead perform this Work during normal working hours. The foregoing notwithstanding, National Grid shall not be required to provide an Overtime Notice, nor shall National Grid be required to comply with any Deferral Notice, with respect to any Overtime Work that is reasonably required (i) due to emergency circumstances, (ii) for safety, security or reliability reasons (including, without limitation, to protect any facility(ies) from damage or to protect any person(s) from injury), (iii) to return any facility(ies)to service in accordance with applicable standards, or (iv) to comply with Good Utility Practice or any Applicable Requirement. For the avoidance of doubt: in no event shall National Grid be obligated or required to perform Work outside of normal working hours if it determines that such performance would be unreasonable, unsafe or otherwise not in compliance with Good Utility Practice.

The Parties, in consonance with applicable laws and regulations, agree that occasionally the Agency will need employees to work in excess of their regular work hours (overtime) in order to meet mission requirements. Employees will be compensated for overtime work IAW 32 USC § 709(h) regardless of whether the work is performed on a voluntary basis, or as directed (involuntary) by the Agency in order to support the Agency's mission.

C Wherever two or more overtime or premium rates may appear applicable to the same hour or hours worked by an employee, there shall be no pyramiding or adding together of such overtime or premium rates and only the higher of the employee's applica- ble rates shall apply. D The parties to this Agreement recognize that sustained and ex- cessive levels of overtime, particularly where it is being worked by non-volunteers, are not ultimately beneficial to the Postal Service or the employees. The subject of sustained and exces- sive overtime, where it is being worked by non-volunteers, is a proper topic for discussion at Local and Regional/Area Labor Management Committee meetings. The parties will meet to dis- cuss particular problem areas and to identify appropriate ave- nues of resolution. In addition, any disputes on this subject may be processed through the Grievance-Arbitration procedure in ac- cordance with Article 15. E Overtime Work for MHAs MHAs shall be paid overtime for work performed in excess of forty (40) work hours in any one service week. Overtime pay for MHAs is to be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times the basic hourly straight time rate. When an opportunity exists for overtime for qualified and avail- able full-time employees, doing similar work in the work loca- tion where the employees regularly work, prior to utilizing an MHA in excess of eight (8) work hours in a service day or forty
