Stewards and Grievance. Committee Members shall be allowed their regular rate of hourly pay for such time falling within their scheduled hours of work as may be then required of them in the performance of their duties under the grievance procedure in the adjustment of grievances and during investigatory and disciplinary meetings. They shall accurately record such time on special time cards approved by the Employer.
Stewards and Grievance. The Stewards and Grievance Committeemen herein referred to shall be appointed by the Union from employees having completed their probationary period, whose duties shall be to assist employees in the area the Xxxxxxx or Committeeman represents in presenting alleged Grievances under the Grievance Procedure. If a Xxxxxxx or Grievance Committee- man requires time off during working hours to attempt to settle a grievance or attend a meeting with the Company, he shall request the permission of his immediate super. xxxxx, stating the reason for his request, which permis- sion shall not be unreasonably denied. If an attempt to settle a grievance involves any employee entering any department or section of the property other than his working place, or if it involves the investigation of the condition of a working place or of equipment, he must carry a written permission for that purpose from his Department Head or the Manager to be obtained through his immediate Super- visor. He will be accompanied on such investigation by the Manager or his designated representative and the immediate Supervisor in the department, section or place concerned.
