Outings. An employee may voluntarily waive the daily overtime compensation associated with an outing by his/her work schedule to maintain a forty (40) hour work week. However, employees who exceed forty (40) hours work in a week shall be compensated at the overtime rate for all hours in excess of forty (40). If staff are required to provide an outing, staff shall be compensated at the overtime rate for hours worked in excess of their normal work shift or forty (40) hours in a work week. The staff involved in the planning shall have first right to work the outing. The prearranged voluntary overtime list shall be used secondarily.

Outings. It is the policy of the Nursery that children should have access to garden facilities, and as the Nursery has a large garden, Ofsted requirements include unlimited access to garden where a variety of activities are set up. Parents should provide children with suitable clothing such as rain coat, boots, sun cream etc. The Nursery also regularly takes children out on organized outings, and you will be notified in advance of any such events. Of course, parents are welcome to join us if they so wish to. However, signing this form allows nursery to take your child for local (the park or local Library) outing. If you do not want your child go out without you being given prior notice, please speak to manager. For all major outing, you will be asked to complete the consent form, nearer the time. Of course, you will be given written notice of the intended date and the venue of the outing. FESTIVALS The nursery promotes the many different cultural in our society as part of the National Curriculum, and regularly celebrate various festivals like Christmas, Chinese New Year, Eid and so on. Your child can grasp the basic understanding of all the cultures. The Nursery also celebrates birthdays and you are therefore asked to inform the Nursery Staff on the day so arrangements can be made to celebrate your child’s birthday. If however, you do not wish your child to participate in any of the above activities, please let the Nursery Manager know. POLICIES The Nursery has several policies and procedures in place which we expect parents to adhere to. All policies are displayed on the Notice Board of the Nursery and on our web site, but if you wish to obtain a copy for your record, please speak with the Nursery Manager, for a copy. One of our policy states that if children’s parents are abusive or use threatening behaviour towards any member of staff, children or other parents, the Nursery will reserve the right to terminate the child placement. PHOTOGRAPHS The Nursery regularly takes photographs of your children undertaking various activities during the day, which are then displayed around the Nursery and our web page.
