How Long. Stop payment orders are generally effective for one year from the date of the original order. We are not obligated to notify you when a stop payment order expires. You must renew the stop payment in writing for another year, or we may pay the Check even though it is a stale Check. We will accept stop payment orders from any person with signing authority on your Account, regardless of who wrote the actual Check(s).
How Long a break is an employee entitled to between each shift? Except in the case of a split shift, you must have a minimum break of eight (8) hours from the time you complete one shift to the time you commence your next. If the break is less than eight (8) consecutive hours, all time worked on the next shift will be at time and a half of your ordinary pay until such time as you do have eight (8) consecutive hours break. However, subject to the approval of your supervisor, if you request a lesser break because you want to swap a rostered shift with a work colleague, the minimum break may be reduced to no less than six (6) hours. The arrangements for working split shifts shall be as arranged between the Department and the Employee concerned having regard to the needs of the Hotel and health and safety issues.
