SICK LEAVE (Full-time Employees Only. 19.01 Pay for sick leave is for the sole and only purpose of protecting employees against loss of income when they are legitimately ill and will be granted to full- time on the following basis provided sick leave credits are available:

SICK LEAVE (Full-time Employees Only a) The current sick leave plan and cost sharing arrangements between the employee and Employer for short-term and long-term disability benefits will continue in effect. The Employer shall pay 100 % of the premium costs of the Short-term Disability Plan and the employee will pay 100 % of the Long term Disability portion of the Plan.
SICK LEAVE (Full-time Employees Only. E.03 In case of illness on a regularly scheduled work day, Full-time Employees will be compensated at 100% of their scheduled hours for that day at their regular hourly rate for up to (6) six sick days per calendar year. These days will be available to be used by the Employee should s/he require the use of sick days as of January 1 of each year. Any Full-time Employee entitled to this benefit, and still in the employ of the Employer as of the last pay period of December of each year, shall be entitled to a pay-out of his/her unused sick leave credits for the calendar year, or s/he may prefer to carry forward the balance for one calendar year.
SICK LEAVE (Full-time Employees Only. (a) Effective January each permanent employee with a seniority date prior to January shall be eligible to a one day sick leave credit for each month of service with the Corporation. Such credits shall be cumulative. Each permanent employee with a seniority date on or after January shall earn three quarters, of a day (6 hours) of sick leave credit for each complete month of service with the employer (effective January 2001). Vacation, Paid holidays, bereavement leave, time off in lieu or authorized Union business are considered hours worked. Such credits shall be cumulative to a maximum of (eighty) days. Those employees with a seniority date of January or later with a balance in excess of days may use the present credits until they reach days, at which point they will no longer earn in excess of days (effective January 2001). The employer will provide a "top-up" to Workplace Safety and Insurance Board benefits which are paid to an employee for Temporary Total Disability. The "top-up" amount will be equal to the difference between the aforementioned benefit and of the employee's net regular pay. The net regular pay is defined as that net amount regularly paid to an employee after the statutory deductions for Income Tax, Canada Pension Plan premiums and Employment Insurance premiums are deducted from the gross regular pay of an employee. If an employee is absent due to sickness: For three (3) but less than thirty (30) consecutive days, shall be required to submit a certificate from physician in order to be entitled to Sick Leave with pay which certificate is also required to state that is able to resume full normal duties or indicate if there will be restrictions and duration of restrictions, on return to work. For thirty (30) or more than thirty (30) consecutive days, shall be required to submit a certificate from his physician certifying his inability to work and the nature of such sickness. An employee shall not be entitled to be paid Sick Leave in that month without furnishing such certificate and so on from month to month in the event the employee's sickness extends from one month to the next month. Chiropractor's certificates supporting an employee's inability to attend work will be accepted by the Home management if recognized by competent authorities such as Ontario Ministry of Health.

SICK LEAVE (Full-time Employees Only. 15.01 Sick leave means the period of time when an Employee is permitted to be absent from work with full pay due to sickness or accident rendering him unable to perform his regular duties as an Employee and not compensable under the Worker's Compensation Act.

  • Full-Time Employees Only Employees will be allowed to participate in health and welfare benefits plans during the year of the leave, but the full cost of such plans will be borne by the employees. Contributions to the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan will be in accordance with the Plan. Notwithstanding the above, employees will not be eligible to participate in the disability income plan during the year of the leave.

  • Permanent Full-Time Employees Pay and benefits will be computed on a monthly pay status basis.

  • Full-Time Employment A full-time Employee is one who is engaged to work 38 hours per week or an average of 38 hours per week pursuant to clause 26(a) of the Agreement.

  • Full-Time Employees A full-time employee is one engaged as such and whose ordinary hours of work average 38 hours per week. The employee’s ordinary hours of work will not exceed an average of 38 hours per week over a 4 week period. Although the actual hours of work may vary from week to week, with some weeks greater than 38 hours and other weeks less, the employee will not work in excess of 152 ordinary hours in any four week period.

  • Regular Full-Time Employees A regular full-time employee is one who works full-time on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular full-time employees accumulate seniority and are entitled to all benefits outlined in this Collective Agreement.

  • Full-Time Employee A full-time employee shall be an employee who is normally scheduled to work not less than forty (40) hours per week, consisting of five (5) eight (8) hour working days.

  • Regular Full-Time Employee A regular full-time employee is defined as one in respect of whom there is a regular schedule of work providing 70 hours of work biweekly.

  • Sick Leave Pay A Nurse granted sick leave shall be paid for the period of such leave at her or his regular hourly rate of pay and the number of hours thus paid shall be deducted from the accumulated sick leave credits of the Nurse.

  • SICK LEAVE OF ABSENCE 25.01 Employees, who are permitted to go home due to non- occupational illness or injury, will not be paid for the remainder of their shift.

  • Less-Than-Full-Time Employees (a) For less-than-full-time employees (including part-time, seasonal, and intermittent employees), who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in the month, the Employer shall contribute a prorated amount of the contribution for full-time employees. This prorated contribution shall be based on the ratio of paid regular hours to full-time hours to the nearest full percent, except that less-than-full-time employees who have at least eighty (80) paid regular hours in a month shall receive no less than one-half (½) of the contribution for full-time employees.
