Full-Time Employees Only. Employees will be allowed to participate in health and welfare benefits plans during the year of the leave, but the full cost of such plans will be borne by the employees. Contributions to the Hospitals of Ontario Pension Plan will be in accordance with the Plan. Notwithstanding the above, employees will not be eligible to participate in the disability income plan during the year of the leave.

Full-Time Employees Only. She/he may elect to be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) times her/his rate of pay, plus holiday pay, and forfeit the lieu day. If the nurse selects option (b), she/he must notify her/his department head, in writing, of her/his intent thirty (30) days prior to the date of the paid holiday. When a holiday falls on a nurse's normal day off, she/he shall be granted an additional lieu day with pay.
