Crediting of Sick Leave. Sick leave credit shall be earned at the rate of 4.6 hours for each bi-weekly pay period in active pay status, including paid vacation, and sick leave, but not during a leave of absence or layoff. Unused sick leave shall accumulate without limit.
Crediting of Sick Leave. 12.01 (a) A regular employee shall be entitled to accumulate sick leave credits at the rate of two (2) days per month worked. Sick leave shall be prorated for part-time employees.
Crediting of Sick Leave. All employees shall earn sick leave at the rate of one and one quarter (1-1/4) days per month. Employees shall not accumulate sick leave during the school calendar year (the contracted school year) when they are not in active pay status (excluding winter and spring recess). Employees contracted to work longer than the contracted school year shall earn additional sick leave at that rate of one and one-quarter (1-1/4) days per month (prorated if the employee is in active pay status for less than one full month in any month of employment. Employees hired on or before September 1, 2012, shall accumulate sick leave without limit. Employees hired after September 1, 2012, shall accumulate sick leave up to a maximum of two hundred thirty-five (235) days. When the earning of sick leave is prorated, the proration shall be calculated in one-half (1/2) hour units.

Crediting of Sick Leave a. Secretaries Reporting to Work or on Paid Leave at the Beginning of Their Contract Year: Each secretary covered by this Agreement shall be credited with one (1) day of paid sick leave for each month of their scheduled contract year.

For the purpose of accruing sick leave, paid time off for vacation, holidays, compensatory time and bonus days and paid injury leave shall constitute “hours worked.” Unused sick leave shall accumulate to a maximum in any calendar year of one hundred twenty (120) hours or four and six-tenths (4.6) hours per pay period.
Crediting of Sick Leave. 19.01 (a) A teacher shall be credited with an annual sick leave allowance of twenty (20) days unless the employee is on leave, in which case, the number of sick days shall be prorated as required, based on the balance of the year following the teacher’s return and credited to the teacher’s account on the first day of return.
Crediting of Sick Leave. All employees in the bargaining unit shall earn sick leave at the rate of one and one quarter (1-1/4) days per month. Employees shall not accumulate sick leave during the school calendar year (the contracted school year) when they are not in active pay status (excluding winter and spring recess). Employees contracted to work longer than the contracted school year shall earn additional sick leave at that rate of one and one-quarter (1-1/4) days per month (prorated if the employee is in active pay status for less than one full month in any month of employment. Employees under contract to work the summer school program shall earn one (1) additional day of sick leave based on fifteen (15) workdays during summer school. If an employee is in active pay status less than fifteen (15) days, the awarding of sick leave shall be prorated. Summer school employees may also use their accumulated sick leave, during the summer school program, in accordance with the usage provisions set forth in this Article. Unused sick leave shall accumulate without limit. When the earning of sick leave is prorated, the proration shall be calculated in one-half (1/2) hour units.
Crediting of Sick Leave a. Secretaries Reporting to Work or on Paid Leave at the Beginning of Their Contract Year: Each secretary covered by this Agreement shall be credited with one (1) day of paid sick leave for each month of work. Secretaries covered by this Agreement who qualify to receive paid sick leave days shall be granted one (1) day of sick leave allowance for each month the Secretary receives pay in the position. Unpaid leave days will result in a proration of monthly sick leave allowance. For 12-month secretaries, five days will be added to the employee’s personal sick leave on July 1 and the remaining seven (7) days will be awarded at the beginning of each month December to June. For 11- and 10- month secretaries, five (5) days will be added to the employee’s personal sick leave in September. Their remaining days, six (6) and five (5) respectively will be granted at the beginning of February until all days have been distributed.

Sick leave credit shall be earned at a rate of ten (10) hours per month of service in active pay status which includes paid vacation and paid sick leave, but shall not include unpaid leave of absence or layoff. The maximum accumulation of sick leave per year is one hundred twenty (120) hours. An employee may accumulate his leave up to one thousand six hundred (1,600) hours. For employees hired prior to January 1, 2015, a conversion rate of two-thirds (2/3's) of the accumulated sick leave shall be paid in cash upon retirement or layoff with no recall from the City. For employees hired as full time employees on or after January 1, 2015 upon retirement, after 10 or more years of service to the City, an employee of the City shall be paid for one-fourth (1/4) of the employee’s unused sick leave days, but not to exceed 800 hours regardless of the accumulated sick leave amount.
