Unused Sick Leave. The accrual of unused sick leave hours is unlimited. The City and the Union commit to the evaluation and establishment of a mutually beneficial non-use of sick leave incentive and pay-out policy. Until such time that a policy is established, accumulated sick leave shall be compensated as follows: Upon retirement from the City service, an employee shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated sick leave, with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid sixty percent (60%) of his accumulated unused sick leave, with the payment based upon his regular pay at the date of his death.
Unused Sick Leave. Upon retirement under the Company's retirement plan or upon termination (except for cause) while retirement eligible, employees will receive payment for fifty percent (50%) of their unused sick leave balance account hours remaining on the date of termination. If eligible for payment, one half of the Current Sick Leave Balance remaining after current year usage will be moved to the Unused Sick Leave Balance account and paid as defined above. Such hours will be paid at the employee’s then-current base rate, subject to a maximum rate that is established from time-to-time by the Company for all salaried employees.
Unused Sick Leave. Unused sick leave shall accrue from academic year to academic year. Transfer of accumulated sick leave shall be in accordance with the provision of Education Code Section 87782. Upon separation from the District the balance of unused basic and excess sick leave shall be reported to STRS.
Unused Sick Leave. Upon retirement from the City service, or upon a reduction-in-force, an employee shall be paid one-half (2) of his accumulated sick leave with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time he retires or is subject to a reduction-in-force. Upon the death of an employee, his beneficiary shall be paid one-half (2) of the employee=s accumulated sick leave with the rate of payment based upon the employee=s regular pay at the time of the employee=s death. Upon resignation, the employee shall be paid 33% of his accumulated sick leave in cash with the rate of payment based upon his regular pay at the time of separation. Payments for retirement, death or reduction in force shall be made to the employee=s PEHP premium account as outlined in Article 23, Section 4.
Unused Sick Leave. At the time of retirement, including retirement while an employee is on the recall list, an employee may elect to be paid in cash for one-fourth (1/4) the value of his accrued but unused sick leave credit. To be eligible for any payment for any unused sick leave credit under this provision, employees must have been employed for no less than three (3) years with the Board.
Unused Sick Leave. At the time of retirement each unused day of sick leave will be certified by the District to be applied for additional service retirement credit under PERS or STRS.
Unused Sick Leave. Unused sick leave days may be converted into paid group health and hospitalization insurance at the following rate: for each 30 days of unused sick leave up to 300 days, the retired teacher shall be granted one year of School District contribution toward the retired teacher’s group health and hospitalization insurance premium on the same basis (family or single) as at the time of his/her retirement; however, the School District’s contribution shall be limited to no more than $300 per month. Also, payment for any unused sick leave days, less those days converted into insurance, will be placed into the Minnesota State Retirement System Health Care Savings Plan at the rate of $30.00 per day. Payment of this amount shall be in one payment on June 30th following the teacher's retirement.
Unused Sick Leave. Unused sick leave days shall be carried over from year to year. However, no full-time 12- month employee shall be entitled to carry-over more than one hundred eighty (180) sick leave days per contract year, and no full-time school year employee shall be entitled to carry-over more than one hundred fifty (150) sick leave days per contract year.
Unused Sick Leave. 18 (A) All 56-hour eligible employees shall receive, upon separation:

Those employees who have accumulated unused sick days in excess of 100 days will receive upon retirement, a one-time payment for the number of unused sick days accumulated during their last six (6) years of employment payable into the deferred compensation plan agreed to by the Group and Administration each Fall according to the following procedure: $40.00 per day for those employed at least five (5) hours or more per day. $25.00 per day for those employed for four (4) hours per day. $20.00 per day for those employed for three (3) hours per day. $15.00 per day for those employed for two (2) hours per day. $10.00 per day for those employed for one (1) hour per day.
