Summer School Program. Sections 3.01 and 3.03 are applicable for summer school programs conducted by the District with the exception of the programs sponsored by the ▇▇▇▇▇▇/▇▇▇▇▇▇-▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ Community Education Program.
Summer School Program. 28 Summer school classes shall have a maximum of twenty-eight (28) students per class for 29 basic education and twenty-four (24) for career and technical education. 30
Summer School Program. A. Positions in the New London Summer Program shall, to the extent possible, be filled by regularly appointed teachers in the New London School System.
B. In filling such positions, consideration shall be given to a teacher’s area of competence, major and/or minor field of study and quality of teaching performance.
Summer School Program. A. All summer school openings shall be announced by the District prior to being filled. Any bargaining unit member is welcome to apply. Summer school work is strictly voluntary.
B. The number of hours per day and number of weeks of summer school shall be determined by the District.
C. Pay for summer school work shall be the member’s regular hourly rate for credit classes and $27 per hour for all other classes. Beginning in the summer of 2014 the rate for all other classes shall be $30.00 per hour.
D. Preparation time for credit classes shall be provided at a ratio of one (1) hour of prep time for three (3) hours of class time. Prep time may be provided for other classes.
Summer School Program. A. Positions in the Southington Summer School Program shall, to the extent possible, be filled by regularly appointed teachers in the Southington Public Schools.
B. In filling such positions, consideration shall be given to a teacher's area of competence, major and/or minor field of study and quality of teaching performance.
Summer School Program. 14.01 When all factors are substantially equal preference shall be given to qualified teachers already employed by the Board. However, the final decision shall be made by the Administration with the Approval of the Board.
Summer School Program. 8:3.5-1 Compensation for teachers in the Summer School Program shall be at the rate in effect as set forth in Appendix D-2.
8:3.5-2 Persons applying for Summer School Programs should apply in writing, not later than April 1 preceding the start of the program. Notification of appointment will be made as soon as possible.
Summer School Program. The Summer School Director positions (K-4, 5-8, 9-12) shall be filled by members of the administrative staff. Summer School will begin at a time mutually agreeable to the Director and the Board, not to exceed thirty-four (34) days in total. The Summer School Director(s) will be compensated at $100.00 per diem rate within their work calendar and $200.00 per diem rate outside of their work calendar. A $500.00 stipend will be paid for working with a summer school intern.
Summer School Program. Lake Erie Speedway will participate in the Millcreek Township School District Summer School program. A Lake Erie Speedway driver and car will visit each participating school to read to the students and sign autographs. Each participating child will also receive a free ticket to one Saturday night race event.
Summer School Program. A. The Board and the Association recognize that the summer school program may vary substantially from year to year. The Board will consult with the Association annually as to the summer school program for that year as early as feasible, usually by February 1 to June 1.
B. Following such consultation concerning the summer school program for the year, the Board will adequately publish the scope and content and positions to be filled by the teachers through a notice to every school as early as April 1 to June 1. Subject to special requirements of the program, posting openings shall be filled with regard to competence and experience and preference shall be given to applicants from the regularly appointed teacher staff in the Derby School System. This shall not preclude the Board from employing outside personnel who through special qualifications enrich the program.
C. Summer school teachers shall be paid a daily rate, as set forth in Appendix F.
