Sick Leave Credit. All employees shall be able to draw on a block of six (6) days sick leave when they commence employment. If all or part of this block of sick leave is used it will be paid back as sick leave is accumulated. If an employee ceases employment and has a negative balance in sick leave credit, this amount will be deducted from his/her final paycheque.
Sick Leave Credit. When special time off, as noted in 9.1 and 9.3 occurs while eligible employees are on sick leave credit, their pay will not be charged against sick leave credits and they will receive 100% payment at their base rate for normal scheduled hours.

Sick Leave Credit. Upon reinstatement after military leave of absence, employees will be granted the same amount of sick benefit credit they had at the time of the beginning of the leave.
Sick Leave Credit. An employee who is laid off from his position and is reappointed or subsequently recalled shall have available to him any unused sick time that existed at the time of the layoff. Any employee who transfers to the Police Department from another department of the City of Avon shall be credited with the unused balance of his accumulated sick time.
Sick Leave Credit. All employees shall accumulate sick leave credits with pay on the basis of one and one-half (1 1/2) work days per month, cumulative up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty (150) days.

Examples: Position (part time day, full time week): 3.5 hours/day, 5 days per week Number of hours worked per week: 3.5 hours X 5 days = 17.5 hours/week 17.5 hours divided by 35 hours (FT work week) = .5 FTE (full time equivalent) .5 FTE X 70 hours (FT) = 35 hours 35 hours divided by 3.5 (PT work day) = 10 sick leave days @ 3.5 hours each Position (part time day, part time week): 3.5 hours/day, 3 days per week Number of hours worked per week: 3.5 x 3 days = 10.5 hours/week 10.5 hours divided by 35 hours (FT work week) = .3 FTE (full time equivalent) .3 FTE X 70 hours (FT) = 21 hours 21 hours divided by 3.5 (PT work day) = 6 sick leave days @3.5 hours each

Sick Leave Credit. Section 3.04.160 of the Mendocino County Code shall be amended to authorize credit upon retirement of one hundred percent (100%) of the unused sick leave for purposes of calculating length of service for the determination of retirement benefits.
