Utilization of Sick Leave. Employees who have accrued paid leave time shall be eligible for paid leave for any period of absence from employment which includes but is not limited to the employee’s illness; injury; temporary disability; medical or dental care; or to attend to members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family or domestic partner or domestic partner’s immediate family, where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or as otherwise required by the state or federal Family Medical Leave Act or other State law. The Employer may, in its sole discretion, require reasonable proof of illness or disability and/or certification of the necessity of the employee’s absence.
Utilization of Sick Leave. During that period of time during which the unit member (including hourly unit members) is physically disabled and unable to perform her regular duties due to pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth and recovery therefrom, she shall be permitted to utilize her accrued sick leave pursuant to section B, above.
Utilization of Sick Leave. During which time the faculty member is physically disabled and unable to perform her regular duties due to pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth and recovery there from, she shall be permitted to utilize her accrued sick leave pursuant to Section 3(a)(4). This provision, which permits a paid leave to be taken while on an unpaid leave, is an exception to the general rule.
Utilization of Sick Leave. Use of sick leave is governed by Civil Service Board Rule 16, Attachment A to the Civil Service Board Rules and Regulations.
Utilization of Sick Leave. For individuals with less than one (1) year of full-time service within the District, and for individuals who have exhausted the sixty (60) day compensated leave, a person may utilize accrued sick leave in fractions of days which, when added to disability compensation, will ensure his/her full salary but will not exceed a normal day's compensation.

Utilization of Sick Leave a. The use of accrued sick leave will be allowed only when an employee is unable to work because of illness or off-the-job injuries. Actual sick leave hours used will be deducted from both sick leave banks. Sick leave pay will not be allowed for disabilities resulting from employment other than with the City.

The Employer may, in its sole discretion, require reasonable proof of illness or disability and/or certification of the necessity of the employee’s absence if it is longer than three (3) days.
Utilization of Sick Leave. 1. The employee shall be entitled to use accumulated sick leave if ill or disabled at any time prior to the commencement of the leave.
