Work Day. The twelve (12) hour shift schedule shall provide for a twelve (12) hour work day consisting of twelve and one-half (12 1/2) hours to include one (1) thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period. Rest periods shall be permitted in accordance with state law, with fifteen (15) minutes in each four (4) hours of work. Shift start times shall be determined by the Employer.
Work Day. The normal work day shall consist of eight (8) hours' work to be completed within eight and one-half (8 1/2) consecutive hours.
Work Day. 1. Consultant shall not permit any worker providing Covered Services to labor more than 8 hours during any 1 day or more than 40 hours during any 1 calendar week, except as permitted by law and in such cases only upon such conditions as are provided by law. Consultant shall forfeit to University, as a penalty, $25 for each worker employed in the execution of this Agreement by Consultant, or any subcontractors or subconsultant, for each day during which such worker is required or permitted to work providing Covered Services more than 8 hours in any 1 day and 40 hours in any 1 calendar week in violation of the terms of this Paragraph or in violation of the provisions of any law of the State of California. Such forfeiture amounts may be deducted from the compensation otherwise due under this Agreement. Consultant and each subcontractor or subconsultant shall keep, or cause to be kept, an accurate record showing the actual hours worked each day and each calendar week by each worker employed under this Agreement, which record shall be kept open at all reasonable hours to the inspection of University, its officers and agents, and to the inspection of the appropriate enforcement agency of the State of California.
Work Day. The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.
Work Day. The standard work day for an employee assigned to the first, second, or third shifts, shall consist of eight (8) hours work to be completed within eight and one-half (8- 1/2) consecutive hours with a thirty (30) minute meal period on the employee’s own time if relieved of his/her duties during this period. The employee shall be allowed thirty (30) minutes to eat his/her meal during the shift. Employees required to remain on duty during their meal period shall be compensated for such time at the appropriate rate of pay. Employees are expected to make a good faith effort to communicate with the appropriate person in charge to problem solve so that they can help facilitate a rest and meal break. The standard work day for a Registered Nurse, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Lead employed at Hall Health shall be 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. with a 60 minute unpaid meal period. Employees in the bargaining unit shall be granted a fifteen (15) minute rest period within each four hour period in accordance with state law. An employee who does not receive a rest period will be compensated at the appropriate rate of pay for each missed rest period. Other work schedules may be instituted in the future which would be mutually acceptable to supervision and the employees concerned. Nothing herein is intended to change the current scheduling practices at Hall Health.
Work Day. The normal work day shall consist of eight (8) or ten (10) hours of work within a twenty-four (24) hour period, exclusive of a duty-free lunch period.
Work Day. The period of time between 12:00 midnight preceding and 12:00 midnight ending any day. Any tour or call-out is a part of the work day on which such tour or call-out begins. Any connecting time which precedes a tour is a part of the work day on which the connecting time begins. Any connecting time which follows a tour is a part of the work day on which the tour begins, even though such connecting time continues until the beginning of a subsequent tour. Pay for work which starts at or after 12:00 midnight preceding the day and before midnight ending the day shall be at the rate prescribed for that day.
Work Day. The ten (10) hour shift schedule shall provide for a ten (10) hour work day consisting of ten and one-half (10 1/2) hours to include one (1) thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period. Rest periods shall be permitted in accordance with state law, with fifteen (15) minutes in each five (5) hours of work. Shift start times shall be determined by the Employer.
Work Day. The normal work day shall consist of eight (8) hours, nine (9) hours, or ten (10) hours of work within a twenty-four (24) hour period, exclusive of a duty-free lunch period. A four (4) hour work day can be scheduled only in conjunction with the nine (9) hour days to complete a normal work week/period. To depart from the normal work day or to establish a shift that is not currently being used by that Appointing Authority in the interest of efficient operations, to meet needs of the public or an Agency, to provide for more beneficial client or student services, or to better use facilities or the working forces, no less than twenty-eight (28) calendar days notice will be given to the Local Union. Upon request, the Appointing Authority will discuss the new schedules with the Local Union affording it an opportunity to express its views, prior to the posting period required in Section 1C. When schedules are changed the new schedule shall be posted pursuant to Section 1C. Existing schedules may remain in effect.
Work Day. Any 10 hours starting on the hour or half hour; sixth day rates for the next 2 hours and seventh day rates thereafter. Sixth day at time and one half the 10 hour guarantee, seventh day rates thereafter. Seventh day at double the ten hour guarantee for all hours. All Script and Continuity Supervisors required to work more than fifteen (15) hours, exclusive of meal and other rest periods (actual work time), from the time of reporting shall be paid two and one-half times the hourly rate for all such hours in excess of fifteen (15) hours of work.
